About the Author

Les Visible is a seeker after truth and a psychedelic traveler in the unseen worlds. He has lived a tumultuous existence, the description of which would require a book in its own right. He is the author of two previous books, an occult novel entitled, "The Darkening Splendor of an Unknown World" and a non fiction work titled, "Spiritual Survival in a Temporal World". He is also a recording artist with 11 CD's in release internationally and also the author of several popular blogs; "Smoking Mirrors", "Reflections in a Petri Dish" and "Visible Origami". He is a regular on the Feet2theFire Radio Show each week. He presently lives in Europe because he refuses to reside in the fascist police state of America which is owned and operated by the International Central Banker Criminal Cartel.

This is one scary, spellbinding book. If Sam Peckinpah, Quinton Tarantino and William Butler Yeats got together on a tale, it might come out
something like this one, although, at its heart, it is a beguiling, bittersweet love story. Elegantly written, plan on a full weekend at least
with uncountable ignored interruptions because the intensity and action will glue you to its pages like nothing you've ever read before. Even
then, when its all said and done, it will haunt you as a sort of elevated platform from which viewing the planet's population demands more
compassion than you thought was possible. In this way, we can see it as en extra curricular education, a seemingly impossible sudden
understanding of people and their situations, crimes and deeds against humanity we unconsciously, and often consciously, prefer to push
away as if they don't exist while plainly the author forces us to accept the brutal reality of the world we presently inhabit.

This book was a page turner from the very beginning. I couldn't put it down. The Curious Tale of Ash and the Whine transported me behind-the-scenes and into the secret lairs of World power. What a scintillating read as I sat back and marveled at what perfect justice, disguised as karma, would look like when it happened. Add to that, that all the action is wrapped around a most modern Love story and you have the feel good, but still grounded in 'reality', book of the year. Excellent!

I have been anxiously awaiting the release of this one after reading "The Darkening Spendor of an Unknown World". Vis is one of the best writers living today. Fast moving story line with an intriguing cast of characters. Poetic justice is the order of the day. This one is masterfully crafted. Plan on some time to finish it once started, as you will not be able to put the book down.

This book, like the authors previous novel in provocative and hard to put down. Les Visible is a great writer and here he takes us on a ride of action, occult and modern day events, put together in a clever style. Interesting characters, real scenarios, simply a great read.

This one of a kind novel by Visible has one of the most compelling and original heroes in recent memory. The Universe has decided to rebalance the scales of justice in a world rife with corruption, greed, and unspeakable evil; and it is done in poetic fashion through the mysterious, supernaturally gifted Ash (short for Ashes). This book is a breathless thriller full of wit, wisdom, and humor, deftly intertwined with mysticism and romance. It is a book with heart, but not for the faint of heart. Despite it's dark overtones you will laugh out loud at times and enjoy colorful and clever exchanges between the other main characters who are quite interesting in their own right. If this is your first experience with Visible's writing you are in for a treat that you will not forget. I've seen other brave reviewers attempt to compare this to the work of other authors, something I find almost impossible, but if I have to...imagine Tom Robbins meets Dan Brown meets Lao Tzu? The truth is, Visible is an incredibly unique author who writes from a perspective of passionate, uncompromising morality, and a fierce love of justice and truth. He also happens to be one of the most entertaining wordsmiths that you will ever encounter. But don't take my word for it. Do yourself a favor and experience it for yourself.

I have visited Vis's blogs for a few years now, so I must confess I have had some exposure to what he is on about. Nonetheless this book is useful, and entertaining, to all manner of people. I have researched on the wonderful, aweful, internet many of the schemes and modi-operandi of some of the evil characters and orgranisations in this book, and this book has it down pat to what I, so far, know about this institutionalised darkness. There is a lot more between the lines of this book than meets the eye, even on my second reading.
It is not simply a revenge fantasy, but a central part of it is the need for action to root out the entrenched scumbags, and not just any action, but rightful action. To think like them, to mix with them (albeit telepathically and momentarily when the action happens), but not to become like them.
It's not an easy task to get the balance right and brings to mind Hamlet's soliloqouy, I come away from this book with pleasure that somehow, somewhen, justice will be done. Christ come back as Lion and Lamb.
The supernatural aspect of the book is from whence the power comes to an agent of the forces of good and the purpose of even the evil ones in the grand design of the divine. One might not do well taking up arms against a sea of struggles, but knocking off the kinpins would set a good example to the horribly embeded masses, encouraging them to get their own houses in order to see the light and oppose the viscious darkness.
There's a lot more to this book...... so read it.
