I've lost weight, my blood pressure is down, and my doctors are impressed. If you've forgotten how to eat sensibly or never knew how to plan for healthy meals and snacks, this diet will teach you. Best of all, you eat all the time and never feel hungry!

The book diet chapters are taken verbatim (charts copied and pasted) from the free NHLBI book, Your Guide to Lowering Your Blood Pressure with DASH,and the recipes, including the photos, are from the NHLBI free online recipe resource which can be found by searching for Keep the Beat and NHLBI.

All of the charts contained in the opening chapters are too small to read in the Kindle edition, and they are not expandable. If you want or need the guidance contained in these charts, you'll need to buy a traditional book. The recipes are pretty good and almost always call for ingredients that the home cook will have on hand, or which are easily obtainable. As a diabetic, I was very disappointed that the nutrition info for many of the recipes did not include the number of carbs. For a diabetic that's an important number!

For the low price, I guess I can't complain, but I wish I had spent the extra money and gotten the real book.
