Interesting plot and the three types of zombies! First are the dead who are not a threat, who walk in an attempt to due in death what they did in life, Second are the good old Zombies from the Night of The Living Dead genre and the third - dead that are possesed by Demons!!
You will follow the lives of several people who are trying to survive the horror's. I will let you read other reviews about these people. What I did find very interesting was how each event did not always turn out how I espected, really keep my interest with many surprises, twists and turns! Recommend for true Zombie lovers!!!!

I'll keep this short...

This is a great story with a great premise. It's well written, well developed and has characters that are easy to grab on to and identify with. Even the author bio was fun.

If there is a negative it's the editing. Punctuation, word substitutions... Lots of "there" instead of "their", things like that. Here and here it would hardly even be noticeable but it's everywhere, on every page. Those two issues made reading a little slow in some places because I would somehow confuse context.

Buy it, read it, enjoy it. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There was a lot of action and it had a pretty good flow. I am an athiest but did not mind some of the religious overtones throughout the story. If I were in this situation I probably would have agreed with a lot of it too. I loved the three different zombies they were a great idea. Especially the gomers I would like to think of the apocalypse having something like them they were really neat. What bothered me the most was the fact that our heros seemed to have a neverending supply of ammo for quite a few different guns!! I know our first hero John had a bag with him in the beginning but that did not explain where they got their ridiculous amount of ammunition from. I do agree with other reviews that stated this is a young adult novel because there could have been some more blood and guts!! Overall it was an enjoyable zombie novel.

This book was interesting because of the three different kinds of zombies - something different in the zombie world. The story of the little group of survivors was pretty good, even if it went on a little too long.
Quite an interesting and surprising epilogue at the end.
Supposedly there's a sequel coming. I'll have to read it because there was no explanation as to why everybody was infected at one time. But with that epilogue...

The Demon Dead was a really enjoyable book. The characters were well-drawn and really brought you into the story. I liked how the author used the real-life features of the area and showed the advantages and disadvantages of living on water, for example. The different kinds of zombies was a great twist. The gomers were heart-breaking, to me. The demons were horrifying! It really added to the suspense of what could have just been another zombie book.

I really enjoyed this one. very solid writing from beginning to end. I loved the "gomer" concept, it created a very eerie world. best of luck to the author and i hope we'll be seeing a sequel.
