Jon Olivia, the possessor of one of the greatest power metal voices today, brought to Doctor Butcher much of what he displayed in the early Savatage days. Chris Caffrey's riffs are blazing. Although the full length cd has a bit cleaner and crisper sound production wise, this release is by far one of the best demo releases ever. Not being able to find anything negative about this product, I will simply say if you are into the Savatage sound with a touch more thrashiness added in, this is a highly recommended purchase for you.

Just as with Doctor Butcher's first CD, this starts strong and never lets up. These songs do not sound like demos. All are very good. Some of the lyrics are hilarious as well! To get an idea of the Doctor Butcher sound, I would describe them as a cross between early Savatage (but a bit faster) and Slayer (but with better singing and more definition to the guitar riffs). If you like Savatage, Slayer, Metallica, Mercyful Fate, or Pantera, you absolutely need to get this CD.
