It is without a shred of hyperbole that I say Joe De Rosa's Depression Auction could be one of the funniest and well rounded comedy albums I've heard. Often coming across as the fall guy on radio and podcasts, De Rosa stands on his own two for a funny set that encompasses questioning masculinity, the public's past-time of overinflating things like marriage and identity fraud, annoying hipster apathy, and doubting his ability to lead during a time like 9/11 (my favourite bit on the album).

De Rosa is sniping and sharp in his cynicism but always finds and keeps the funny. A balancing act that is a valuable indicator of a true comic.

I've heard of this guy before but never heard his standup, so I bought this album and it really satisfied, as it should for anyone who has an appreciation for good stand up comedy. Lots of self deprecating humor and social such and such that's standard for all great stand ups, so it's definitely worth the money if you like comedy (if you don't like comedy then I guess that's the only reason I wouldn't recommend this album).

Joe is a great comedian and his bits are unbelievably funny. If you're a fan of Jim Norton, Bill Burr, Robert Kelly (pretty much anybody on XM Radio's Opie and Anthony Show), then you're really gonna dig this album. Thanks alot joe for the best hour of comedy i've heard in a long time.

I have been listening to Pandora raw Dawg comedy channel for a while and have been listening to a few bits of the album,I wanted more so I bought it, first comedy album I bought since I was a kid, and it was cheech and Chong up in smoke, many years ago..I'm glad I did 10 bucks well spent, the extra track was the icing on the cake.....his also great on red eye fox channel, funny descriptions he weaves.
