5.0 out of 5 stars Come one, come two, come YOU! April 3, 2012
Format:MP3 Music
As someone who has been eagerly awaiting my city's release date for The Devil's Carnival, I eagerly purchased this album from iTunes as soon as I knew it was available. It is absolutely worth the midnight download.

Although I'm sure that these songs will take on a whole new meaning once seen in the context of the movie, the soundtrack does a rather good job of telling a story in itself. We're treated to Sorvino's playful Heaven's All Around as the album opener, with Sorvino occasionally taking on the tone of someone who is purposely wallowing in blissful semi-ignorance of everything around him.

What I really loved about this album were the songs A Penny for a Tale, Beautiful Stranger, In All My Dreams I Drown, and Grace for Sale. Emilie Autumn's song is absolutely enchanting, but I'll admit that I loved the toe-tapping Grace for Sale a little more. Zdunich has a voice of velvet and although part of me wishes that there'd been a duet with Autumn, I'm not sure that my sanity could have comprehended that much awesomeness in one song. As it is, Lowndes still does a pretty good job of matching his timbre in In All My Dreams I Drown. (Although this is the first episode to the series, so there's hope yet for a Autumn/Zdunich duet.)

If you're a fan of Repo then you'll pretty much love the soundtrack for the latest brainchild of Zdunich and Bousman.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fa la la, it's off to Hell we go! April 3, 2012

There's no denying it: This album is fantastic. I would have to say that the absolute best songs on the soundtrack are "Grace For Sale" and "Trust Me". Each song tells its own story, and does it beautifully. The collection of artists who have collaborated on this project is just...amazing. Big names, small names, people no one really knew could sing...All of the songs bring the Carnival to life.

All of the song on the soundstack are great but my favorite by far is In all my dreams I drown. I cannot wait to see the movie. I am a huge fan of Repo the Genetic Opera and expect nothing less from the Devils Carnival

5.0 out of 5 stars C'mon, bleed for a sinner! April 4, 2012
By Lindsey

I've been looking forward to this project since it was just whispers on twitter. Once the song samples were released, however, I was a bit hesitant. From the sounds of it, I thought I'd only like a few out of the 12 tracks. Since the cost goes straight to the films future production (and other TDC related activities), I figured 8.99 wasn't a bad price and bought the entire album. I'm very glad I did. I feel that there will be something for everyone on this soundtrack. If you take the jump, the $9 will be well worth it. Excellent job, Darren and Terrance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Come one, come two, come all, Devil's Carnival! December 18, 2013

This movie... I heard about randomly on Facebook, then saw it advertised on Netflix, watched it the day it became available to view, and fell in love with it. Fell in love with it so much that I went looking for the soundtrack, which I found on their official website (led me to here). The music for this movie is fantastic and has a way of playing with your senses as you're hearing parts of the movie in the songs, as well as hearing Aesop's Fables in the music too. You have various talent on this soundtrack, including hearing Sean Patrick Flannery singing for the first time (I haven't heard him sing before), as well as hearing one of my favorite artists, Emilie Autumn.

To those that are fans of the Carnival, get this soundtrack. Whether digitally or on a CD, own it. It's worth owning.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fan "must" December 6, 2013

Great soundtrack of the original film. Organized and clip just enough to keep the flow of the story, yet still playable in shuffle mode. A wonderful cast of artists and well composed adaptations of some classic tales.
