4.0 out of 5 stars an engaging read December 27, 2012

I read this book over the course of only a few days. Written from the devil's perspective, and ONLY the devil's perspective, it chronicles the entire history of mankind, as well as its future. Early on, the Devil justifies his actions by claiming that god has set man up to fail. As time goes on, he truly takes delight in the suffering of all the people of the world, detailing so many attrocities that we are left questioning a great many of our beliefs. This book is well-researched, and very thought provoking. A worthwhile read.

More About the Author

Loving books. Writing is truly a fantastic medium. It's always astounded me how eclectic, yet how so universally appreciated, writing can be. I mean, how can Cormac McCarthy be so bleak, Carl Hiaasen be so funny, Elmore Leonard be so cool, and John Steinbeck be so simplistic and so complicated at the same time....and ALL of them be loved and admired by the same reader? That's the magic of art, of course. If it's good, it will speak to you no matter what it's saying.

So welcome to the world of books; let's go see what we can find together. Take my hand, 'cause it's gonna be bumpy...
