Everyone should read this book. However, if you or someone you know is experiencing a sustained period of adversity, reading it is even more critical. It not only inspires but also equips readers with the techniques to get through tough times.

My manager gave this book to everyone in his district because market and external forces were creating a difficult working environment. This book helped many of us get through that time and still reach our goals.

John Maxwell follows his own advice. He has refined, reformed and repackaged his career and professional life --- after beginning well, he's continually gotten better. It's a focus thing! This book is the best Maxwell volume yet; zeroing in on the key factor that holds us back and prevents our growth.

John Maxwell is right: attitude is definitely 'the difference maker.' But instead of merely saying so, Maxwell shows you how to discover the basics of your own personality (you may be surprised!) and then move forward, changing your perspective in order to achieve better results.

This book is a bargain at twice the price: buy one for yourself and every member of your leadership team. Read it together: you'll learn a lot!

I started this book in Atlanta, read on the plane, finished it the next day. I loved it! It opens your mind, lightly tells you what you are doing wrong and helps you come to a wy to fix the problems on your own. I love how it reads. I gave this book to the women on my team because it helps you to become a leader, by helping mind and brain. I can't say enough about it. All new recruits into my team will be getting this book.

Maxwell "The Difference Maker"
The Influence of Attitude

1. "The Difference Maker" is a book about attitude.
In this book, Maxwell explains how our attitudes affect our daily lives and the lives of others. Maxwell defines attitude as an inward feeling expressed by outward behavior (p-3).

2. Maxwell is a renowned leadership expert and speaker who currently operates his own leadership company called Enjoy. Interestingly enough, Maxwell served as a Religious Minister before deciding to focus his primary effort on leadership. Businesses, governments, and many other organizations have sought him out to have him share his leadership expertise and philosophy. John has authored dozens of top selling leadership books.

3. Maxwell does not disguise the fact that he is a Christian, and he does an artful and respectful job of tying in his faith into "The Difference Maker" in a purposeful way.

4. "The Difference Maker" describes how twists and turns of life have an interesting way of dealing people a variety of circumstances. Maxwell talks about how many of these situations that occur are far beyond our control and that there is very little we can do to regulate the outcome.

5. Maxwell explains how some people are blessed with certain abilities while others are not. Some people are born with a higher degree of intellect or outstanding athletic abilities. Someone may be a gifted artist or have an uncanny ability to remember things. Maxwell explains that regardless of a person's natural abilities or inabilities, the one thing that each person has is complete control of their attitude.

John C. Maxwell has written another awesome book. I have a Ladies Book Club in my business. We read a chapter a week in a selected book. All of them have been John C. Maxwell's books. The group was in awe of The Difference Maker. Reading it changed their lives as well as mine.

The Difference Maker is a great book - difficult to put down! It's realistic, and the anecdotes are not only relevant; they're entertaining. I strongly recommend it to anyone who needs to improve their attitude, or improve the attitudes of their team members.

This was a great book with some awesome nuggets that will impact my life. I needed to hear again that great success comes through great failures and having to overcome great obstacles. I'm plowing on through looking for the best yet to come. My favorite quote was "Success each day should be judged by the seeds sown, not the harvest reaped" - John C Maxwell

I couldn't put this book down. I need to read it again.
