Editorial Reviews

From Booklist

It’s a formula that inspirational speaker–radio personality Smith has followed twice before in books: list the top 10 and contrast each with the alternative. In this case, the subject is entrepreneur-employee, a topic the author knows by heart. So, for instance, he addresses failure and the two widely varying perspectives. To entrepreneurs, it means great feedback; to employees, a terrible blow. He develops his philosophy through some very personal stories—in this section, among the ice-cream-smoothies store that cost him nearly half a million dollars. The other nine distinctions—wealth versus money, future versus past, as two examples—are populated with not only anecdotes and common insights but also driven by his conviction in their worth. Although it would be even more inspirational to listen in person, this shor,t motivational book should help those looking for a jump-start in work and in life. --Barbara Jacobs

Review

To those who would like to find out if entrepreneurs are born or made, there is much to enjoy in Keith Cameron Smith's slight but deep book -- Steven Dolby Edge

A little book, full of great insights. The author has the ability to clearly and simply articulate and then expand on what makes the difference. E.g. Distinction no 1. Entrepreneurs take risks because of faith. Employees play it safe because of fear. This is a worthwhile addition to your self help library. One of those books that bears multiple re-readings.

I always like Keith Cameron Smith's quick but powerful reads. As an entrepreneur trapped in an employee's lifestyle, I have to agree with many of his points.

I bought this for my kindle, but it's worth a spot on my bookshelf. This is the kind of book you want to have at arm's reach to remind, reference and refocus yourself when needed. The ideas are simple and really, nothing new, but they're so well organized and explained that it gives you the pick-me-up you need to get on with your mission. The author's conversation style makes it a pleasurable although very fast read.
