If you sat down and tried to think of every possible situation in which a dog could be a hero, you would have the outline for this book. Give me a nickel for everytime this dog saves a human, intervenes in a dangerous situation, saves the town, (are you thinking Metropolis yet?), saves the day, and saves his human from embarrassment, and I could take you out for a lobster dinner. The stories are mildly entertaining, in the way that tall tales are entertaining. Ten-year-olds who are not big on video games might like this book. It's got some stories that are parables, some that are cautionary tales. But it's not a masterpiece. If you really like dogs this might be the book for you. Otherwise, you can do better with the story of "How I found Livingstone" by Mr. Stanley. Now THAT'S a story!

I enjoyed reading the ebook. Not formatted correctly for the Kindle but still a great story. Keep up the great work.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about how brutal and tough the old west was and how important a well trained dog could be a real asset to the men and horses that moved across the country headed west.

Haven't finished it yet, but have enjoyed the story and it is hard to put down. I reminds me of stories my great grandmother told when crossing the plains in a covered wagon.
If you like pioneer stories and of dogs you will enjoy this one.

Great book. Nice Western story shown by a different view with Crusoe the dog's viewpoint. You get to see a kid turn into a man and a great hunter and Crusoe is always by his siide.

Feel real terror when the characters are confronted by a grizzly. Feel real proud to see how much the main characters grow.

A delightful story of adventures in the West as it was then understood. The author provides plenty of humor and understanding of a dogs thinking. I enjoyed the book. For fans of the old Western type it should be good to read too.

This is a great story I hope y'all enjoy the story as much as I did.

I had a dog correction my brother had a great dog whom saved my life when I was very young, 5 years old or 6 I don't know how old I was but he killed a Copperhead snake, unfortunately he died by many snake bites.

Truly a dog is man's best friend.

Thanks for the opportunity to read or should I say listening to the narrator reading the story.

Phill Sharp Sr aka Bubba,
Keep reading it will broaden your mind.
