Book Description

From the national bestselling author of historical romance...

Harris Dane, Viscount Osterley, orders a very fine and scandalously cut dress to be made for a certain lady he wishes to woo. While with the dress designer, he also orders a pair of gloves to be sent to his ward, Miss Felicity Grove, to wish her well for the new Season. But when Felicity accidentally receives the dress, along with Osterley's affectionate note, it sets into motion a tale of scandalous misunderstandings and love in the last place you look.

This is a work of 31,000 words (approx. 100 pages).

About the Author

Kate Noble love books. Romances especially. But, being born into a family of doctors, scientists, and mathematicians, she didn't discover she was adept at writing until, oh, about junior year of high school. Which came as something of a relief, as she was hopeless at memorizing the Latin names for all the bones in the human body. The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle eludes her to this day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and Delightful April 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Need something a rainy afternoon, check out this delightful novella by Kate Noble. As the rain is splashing on your windows, think how that same rain could bog down a carriage, wash out a bridge, or "steam up the window's" in Regency England. Kate's Noble's writing is "wonderfully entertaining" (as Amanda Quick has said). Can't think of a better way to spend $2.99!

5.0 out of 5 stars Clever, Witty, and Endearing. April 5, 2012

As with all of Kate Noble's writings, this novella was immensely enjoyable.
This shorter, online-only story is full of the enjoyable little twists, witty banter, and endearing characters. The relationship between the leads was wonderful and emotional. Loved it!

3.0 out of 5 stars A bit of cotton candy May 15, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This little bit of fluff was fun to read, but not really one of the abiding classics of romance.

It's just terrible how the wealthy young bachelors of the world are so oppressed by their responsibility for their beautiful wards that they are forced to visit ladies of a certain reputation for the release of their needs.

In this case, the whole thing is complicated by a mis-delivered scandalous dress made out of magical wish-giving cloth. I hate it when that happens.

Also, Lady Worth ends up looking like a slightly sinister fairy godmother.

On the other hand, I thought the romance, however improbably it started, was not as inequitable as I thought it might be at first, so that's something.

Read if: You want a bit of candy-floss romance.

Skip if: You're in it for the character development.

Also read: Unlocked for a deeper story/novella.
