New Favorite Artist,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Drifter and the Gypsy (MP3 Download)
I listened to the samples here at Amazon before I bought the MP3 download, my only regret is that I didn't buy the CD first.
I honestly love every song in this collection and have very possibly found a new favorite female artist. I've been a musician most of my life, and with Rosi Golan and a few other newer artists I've found new hope for the music industry which I thought had died and turned into a very ugly combination of flash and commercialism years ago. There's a purity and joy in this collection of music that really has given me new hope inspiration, and I'm looking for more from her and some of the other new talent that's emerging.

Immaculate,
By Cap. Ellerby (Pyrmont, NSW Australia) - See all my reviews

I love this album, it has something for everyone, faster, slow, up-beat, mellow. Rosi Golan's voice speaks for itself, beautiful yet haunting. But the songwriting is what 'shines' for me, simple yet heartfelt lyrics coupled with catchy melodies and engaging arrangement. "Think of Me" and "Yesteryear" are stand-out tracks. The duet with William Fitzsimmons is very special. Some people don't trust an immaculate record. I do, this is an immaculate record.

In LOVE,

A friend of mine introduced me to the work of Rosi Golan. Her previous recommendations were a bit "hit and miss" with me, so I wasn't sure how I would like Ms. Golan. I sat with her and listened, and as soon as the first song "Think of Me" ended, I was in love. I exclaimed out loud: I LOVE this! and the rest of the songs didn't fail to disappoint.
It seems that every time I listen to Rosi, I find a new favorite song. Her voice is so deliciously buttery, I could never grow tired of her.

Wonderful Album!,

Rosi's voice is beautiful & the creative folk-like accompaniment is wonderful. I have a very particular taste in music in that I can say I truly "love" an album, and this album is a wonderful fit.

Completely in love,
This review is from: The Drifter and the Gypsy (MP3 Download)
This album evokes the image of long highways through fields of yellow grass and big blue skies for me. I love the ethereal sound mixed with just enough soft twangy country. Lyrics are amazing. Have listened to this over and over on repeat. I can't wait to hear more from her.

I had the pleasure of seeing Rosi live (touring with the fantastic Greg Laswell), and picked up her album at the venue as I couldn't wait to hear the songs again. Incredibly pure voice and deep, yet sing-alongable collection of tracks. I had it on repeat for a full week and hasn't left my six-disc player since.
