For the record I never listened to Escape the Fate. I won't weigh in on the whole fiasco between the rest of the band and Ronnie, but I will say one good thing came of it - this album. I had heard 'The Drug in Me is You' on the local college radio station and I liked it well enough to find out the artist who produced it. After listening to some Youtube of the other songs I immediately bought the album (yes Youtube does creates sales for artists). Not particularly impressed with the whole neuvo Motley Crue look (make-up and all that), but hey I am interested in the music they can dress however they like.

FiR's (can we use that as shorthand?) debut album prompted me to want to learn about a whole new genre (to me) - Post-Hardcore. It's not every day that a band can do that. Anyway, I like the high energy clean vocals mixed with occasional growling. The instruments are also clean and the music is very catchy without sounding 'pop-ish'. The only thing I can criticize is that sometimes Ronnie comes across as very conceited and self-centered. It's not really a criticism because he is a performer, and I buy his music because I enjoy it not because he is a role model.

I am not enough of a music aficionado to do a breakdown of songs and do comparisons so I will leave that to those more qualified. I can however as a fan of many music genres recommend this album to everyone. Oh, and now I am going to check out Escape the Fate (pre and post Ronnie)...if I can stop listening to this first. :D

It's the perfect progression from Dying is Your Latest Fashion(escape the fate's 1st album). I could not be happier with this album, every song is catchy. The guitar riffs and drums are great. Again if you enjoyed Ronnie's earlier etf albums you will enjoy this cd. It is energetic, the breakdowns are great, I really liked that some of the chorus's are on the heavier side(don't mess with ouija boards). This cd may not be for everyone though, I could see how some people might find his voice whiny, but I like it, I think it fits really well with this genre. For the human abstract, protest the Hero, and early ETF fans.

....but I've got to say that the lyrics just dont go with the music. They are obviously talented musicians and Radke is a passionate singer, but Im hoping the next album is better.

I have been listening to Ronnie Radke since ETF back somewhere in the blur of what was 2007. After the whole thing between the band and Radke, it left me feeling broken inside. My favorite singer was put into prison but he came out putting his past behind him and with a clearer head. Of course, I still listened to ETF when Craig Mabbitt (Blessthefall, The Word Alive) took over and kept ETF alive. Without him, they wouldn't even be making music still. I quickly learned to accept the fate of ETF and patiently waited for Radke to make his return because I knew he wasn't just going to disappear off the face of the earth. Not uh. This is a wonderful CD and basically a huge eff you to Escape the Fate. It still has the screaming, the guitar riffs, and the catchy lyrics that Radke fans would expect. I highly recommend this CD to anyone who listens to Blessthefall, Escape the Fate, Underoath, From First to Last, The Almost, etc.

Ronnie Radke's The Drug In Me Is You record is a great comeback record of its time. All songs are catchy and enjoyable everyone to listen. I love the way he puts his heart and soul into all his songs, and lets face it Escape the Fate's songs have been pretty empty as of late, save for the Guillotine Pt 2 & 3.

I love Falling in Reverse! Their music is great; it holds nothing back and I love that in music. The cd came wrapped in plastic and in perfect condition.
