From Booklist

In Haymore’s (Secrets of an Accidental Duchess, 2012) latest, Sarah, the gardener’s daughter, is treated like family on the Duke of Trent’s estate. So when the duchess goes missing, Sarah is elevated from housemaid to daughter Esme’s companion while the four sons search for their mother. After hiring a detective, heir Simon, Esme, and Sarah head to London for the season, where Simon will seek a wife, even though he loves Sarah in spite of her social status. At the head of the pack of debutantes is Simon’s neighbor Georgina, and her family is pushing for the match. But Simon is torn between marrying someone of his own class or someone who holds his heart. Meanwhile, all avenues to discovering who kidnapped the Duchess of Trent and whether she is alive or dead seem blocked. As the hunt unfolds, Haymore touches on the themes of dynastic marriage, public scandal, and the obligations of an heir to his widowed mother and siblings. --Pat Henshaw

"4.5 Stars, Top Pick! Haymore's first House of Trent novel sets the bar for the series. Emotional, sensual and enchanting, this tale of forbidden love is a romance to savor. Appealing characters, a beautiful, unconventional love story and family dynamics - as well as deft plotting and depth of emotion - make this a keeper." (RT Book Reviews on THE DUCHESS HUNT)

"4.5 stars, HOT! Readers have been eagerly awaiting this sequel to Confessions of an Improper Bride, in order to finally uncover the truth about Meg Donovan's "death." Haymore creates a highly satisfying answer, drawing the reader in with wonderfully realistic characters, adventure, passion and unexpected plot twists while crafting another delightful entry in the Donovan series."―RT Book Reviews on PLEASURES OF A TEMPTED LADY

"With beautifully rendered characters, lush sensuality, and a riveting story line, this well-told tale puts a refreshing spin on both the hidden identity and classic reunion plots and gets Haymore's new series off to a delightful start."―Library Journal on CONFESSIONS OF AN IMPROPER BRIDE

"41/2 Stars! Haymore uses the Christmas season as an enhancing backdrop for a mystery/romance that is both original and fulfilling. Her fresh voice & ability to build sensual tension into lively love stories...makes this tale shine."―RT Book Reviews on A SEASON OF SEDUCTION

"Jennifer Haymore strikes a good balance of strength, sensuality, drama and intrigue in her characters...Becky is an independent, fearless woman except when it comes to opening her heart to another man. And Jack, while strong and passionate, shows great sensitivity under his 'rogue' persona. With enduring characters that exhibit strong chemistry, I very much enjoyed Ms. Haymore's unique, engaging style and look forward to reading the other books that are a part of this series."― on A SEASON OF SEDUCTION

"Each time Ms. Haymore writes a book in this series I think there is no way to top the one I just finished. I started this latest one and realize she has done just that and has proven to me how fresh this series can remain. The characters of Becky and Jack are so full of life and longing just trying to make the right connection between family, relationship and future happiness while figuring out who to trust with all their secrets. This is a wonderful story and while I recommend reading the 1st two it is not imperative as Jennifer Haymore is a magician at connecting the plot from one book to the next-- but trust me you will have to buy the first two, they are that good."―The Reading Reviewer ( on A SEASON OF SEDUCTION

"Ms. Haymore has penned a fabulous story of seduction, romance, intrigue and betrayal and above all that - love. You don't want to miss it! I'm now a big fan of this new author and she is going on my automatic to buy list! I love her writing style and the complex plots that she has weaved so beautifully together....The characters are amazing and the story will tug at your heart strings. So if you love a great read, do go and get this series, you will be glad that you did!"― on A SEASON OF SEDUCTION

"A unique, heart-tugging story with sympathetic, larger-than-life characters, intriguing plot twists, and sensual love scenes make A HINT OF WICKED an impressive romance debut! This was a really good start to this new Historical Romance series. Simon and Sarah have amazing chemistry together... and if you like a book that offers a fair amount of sexual tension... this one hits the spot!
Sarah is the daughter of the gardener of the House of Trent. She grew up close to the Trent family and the young Duke all because of an infamous Blackberry Bush attack! And, of course, a very eccentric Duchess who raised her high born children a little different than everyone else. The Duchess loved Sarah and she was raised and educated as part of the family. This was fine and dandy when they were kids but now that Sarah is all grown up she has to learn her true place and cope with the forbidden love that has formed between her and Simon.
Simon is on the hunt for a Duchess... well two of them... his mother has disappeared and he knows that he has put off marriage long enough and has decided it's time to find a Duchess of his own. But, his heart will always belong to the little girl he saved from the Blackberry Bush all those years ago.
This story is full of entertaining characters that we get to know as the Trent family begins their search for their missing mother. As the mystery unfolds along with some surprising hidden family secrets we slowly begin to fall in love with the Trent family and especially Simon and Sarah. I loved how it ended... you have to read it to find that out! I am definitely going to continue on with this series... and, if you are a fan of steamy historical romances all wrapped up in a good story... then I highly recommend this one.

THE DUCHESS HUNT by Jennifer Haymore is another exciting Regency Historical Romance set in England. Book 1 in "The House of Trent"novel and what a start. I believe this is her best work ever. I devowed this story in one setting as I held my breath for the hero and heroine's HEA. What a powerful story of Simon Hawkins, the Duke of Trent, his siblings and the lovely Sarah Osborne. Simon despises gossip and scandal,he has had enough of these from his parents lives his entire life. He his a man of honor and integrity. He lives by a strict rule of honor. But when his mother goes missing all bets are off. Sarah was only eight years old when she and her father, the gardener, came to live at Ironwood Park, but she soon become part of the Trent family. While she has spent her entire life dreaming of Simon, she knew it would be a forbidden romance, for she was a lonely lady's maid and the Duke of Trent would one day marry. Trouble to the House of Trent, brings passion, secrets, blackmail, death, sacrifice and a longing for-filled. Simon and Sarah passions grows, while, the siblings go to the far corners of England, looking for clues to their mother's disappearance. Simon is caught in a trap, not of his making, but his parents, when he is blackmailed into marrying a deceitful Baron's daughter, who holds secrets that could destroy his family, or will he sacrifice honor for love? I loved Simon and Sarah's story,it crosses social barriers, holds love true to the heart, and family closer to heart, regardless of their troubles or true birth. One of Ms. Haymore's best works so far, and I have read them all. She grabs the reader from the first page to the last page and holds them in awe as the multifaceted plot comes together.Read more ›

I seriously need to kick myself for taking so long to read The Duchess Hunt by Jennifer Haymore. I mean it's truly a great story full of emotion, and a great start to her new series House of Trent. So, let's dive into the story and my thoughts.

Sarah Osborne and Simon Hawkins, the Duke of Trent, have know each other for 16 years. Hey Sarah has become practically like family. However, news has rocked the House of Trent that could be detrimental to the whole family. Now Simon needs to find away to fix the situation before the scandal arises.

Let's just say that the whole book is filled with mystery and intrigue. Especially, with their mother gone missing and there's a great need to find her. After all, the Duchess of Trent holds all the answers to the mystery. Plus, we have blackmail going on, and it's a must have when we have puzzle that needs to be solve.

Poor Simon, he needs to find a future duchess, so that it might help cover the scandal. However, he doesn't have a choice in the matter thanks to the Stanley's. By the way I really don't like them, and they don't make themselves likable people.

The Hawkin family is truly a unique family in more ways than one. However, Simon feels duty bound to protect them even at the cost of his own happiness. Through most of book I had an anxious feeling waiting for Simon choose his happiness over duty. Oh the agony I went through.

I really love the special relationship Sarah and Simon had. Both knowing that need to keep their feelings as just friends, but you know that doesn't always workout. It was pure torture for me to watch these two keeping their feeling at bay and follow duty.

Ms. Haymore brings a wonderful story. Plus, I love title and I think it's a perfect fit in more ways than one.
