About the Author

Allen Golden is a man who has experience with healthy alternatives to traditional medicine. When he learned how it is was possible to combat Alzheimer's Disease he moved forward to find out more. Spending countless hours doing medical research, Golden was able to find significant journal articles and other information to shed light on his research. Knowing that it is now possible to treat Alzheimer's and many other diseases with some very simple ingredients, along with pharmaceuticals, he had to share the wealth of his findings. Once the fire was in his heart he simply had to find more information to support this theory. It is his sincere hope that people who are battling Alzheimer's and other diseases will be able to try alternatives and find success. While there are no absolute guarantees, these findings foster hope in the never-ending battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

I was very impressed by not only the author's writing skills but also by his phenomenal compilation of research in a new interpretation. While there are no guarantees, this book truly does give me hope and a new pathway to follow. I have experience with Alzheimer's in my aging family and it has been a hard experience. Reading this book truly helped me understand some preventative ways to look at in my possible future, as well as interesting ideas for helping my family members. Furthermore, there was a personal interest for me that I have applied in an unexpected way: I have suffered from post-traumatic-stress-disorder (PTSD) for a long time and there is indication that my type of PTSD precipitates similar brain functioning and neurological chemical make-up to Alzheimer's. I look forward to seeing if these alternative methods help my own case. I highly recommend this book for general knowledge and specific aid.

I really enjoyed reading this helpful book. It put difficult medical language into easily-digested English, which we caregivers always appreciate. There are many things that can be done to alleviate symptoms. No fantastic promises and no unattainable regimens are recommended here. Just down-to-earth sensible diet and exercise adjustments that can and should be used, along with medicines your doctor can prescribe. It certainly motivated me to begin some new practices in our home.

Read it in an evening and didn't really feel it was telling me anything I didn't already know. Win some, lose some.
