4.0 out of 5 stars Early Gets a Look June 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Enjoyed the early works of Anthony Neil Smith. You rarely get a look at the newborn stage of an author because that is the stuff left behind when they "hit their stride." When I find an author I enjoy I want to follow them right through from beginning to end. The Early Crap of ANS is not going to win any awards but it is simple fun stuff to read. Everyone has their own special view of life and the personal perspective of ANS is pretty odd, but as a collector of odd it worked for me; I have started buy his other books and look forward to reading my way through.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun reading January 16, 2014

I enjoyed this book, but its clearly not quite the caliber of work Mr. Smith is capable of putting out now. Altogether, though its a fun group of of easy to read stories. You can get a sense of the direction the writer will take in his future fine pulp like Psychosomatic, The Drummer and his Billy Lafitte books. If you like these works, you'll enjoy going back in time to see how Anthony Neil Smith developed his early writing.
