'An epic love story that is beautifully told.' The Sun newspaper

Set in Venice, The Echoes of Love is a beautiful, poignant story of lost love and betrayal, unleashed passion and learning to love again, whatever the price.

Venetia Aston-Montague has escaped to Italy’s most captivating city to work in her godmother’s architectural practice, hoping to put a lost love behind her.

Paolo Barone, a charismatic entrepreneur who bears the scars of a tragic past, is endeavoring to build a new life for himself.

Venice on a misty carnival night brings these two people together.
When Venetia finds herself assigned to Paolo’s magnificent country home, love blossoms in the beautiful hills of Tuscany and the wild Sardinian Maquis. But if they are to be together, they must first confront their past and dark forces in the shadows determined to come between them.

Daring to love again after so many years, can Venetia overcome her own demons? Or will Paolo's carefully guarded, devastating secret tear them apart forever?

Praise for Hannah Fielding

Escape to the winding streets of Venice, where Venetia gets herself tangled up with charismatic stranger Paolo. He’s a Don Juan with a dangerous secret, and she has sworn that her heart is closed – but can they resist their smouldering chemistry?Inside Soap

I absolutely adored the depth of the love story in The Echoes of Love, it felt almost voyeuristic to read. Fielding encapsulates the overwhelming experience of falling deeply, completely, utterly in love beautifully, and the glorious backdrop of Venice, eloquently described throughout, is the perfect setting for this romantic novel.” Books with Bunny

It was the striking cover and the romance of the title that prompted me to choose The Echoes of Love among so many novels that are offered today. The writing lifts the book out of the usual romance genre. I was captivated from the first lines by the world Ms Fielding created. Without leaving your chair you are transported to Italy . Though I have visited Venice and Florence in Tuscany , I have never been to Sardinia, but all through my reading the author’s beautiful detailed description made me feel I was just there with Paolo and Venetia , living their passionate love story. Neither the hero nor the heroine are simplistic characters, both have a past that tortures them, but both learn how to confront them, first alone, and then together. All in all a beautifully crafted book, the echoes of which will remain with you for a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read for Hopeless Romantics July 20, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
This is such an amazing love story! Fielding did such a spectacular job of creating such a detailed account of Venice and all the other surrounding areas that the lovers traveled to. I felt like I was right there with them! I fell in love with Venetia and Palo as well. This is such a heart warming romance of how love always endures no matter what trials or tribulations a couple may face. I was completely shocked by the plot twist and never found a moment of this book to be boring.

4.0 out of 5 stars LOVED IT! February 26, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I started reading this book and thought it would be the same old love story of a women in pain who has had her heart broken, and the man that comes in to be the hero. I’ll admit when I’m wrong and I was completely wrong. I love that this story takes place in Italy, because for me that is the country of love and romance in my mind. Secondly, I love love love the twist! I can’t say more and I don’t want to because I literally don’t want to give anything away. It was so unexpected but so different that I was intrigued by it. Can two lovers come together from both having tragic pasts or will their pasts tear them apart? I know you’re probably thinking that sounds a lot like every other story out there, but its not! Definitely not! This book was a breath of fresh air for me and revived my will to want to read more romance again. Great job Hannah!

5.0 out of 5 stars Real Romance Echoes Here February 16, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I had never heard of Hannah Fielding. The truth is that what drew me to this book was the gorgeous cover. That alone gave flight to my imagination into all sorts of places. Readers, there is romance here and not the tacky kind. It is clean. It is sweet. It is affecting. It is swoon worthy - truly. If you're the type that isn't into heavy erotica and what that entails then you will enjoy The Echoes of Love. I, on the other hand, enjoy the heavy erotica and still enjoyed this one very much.

Paolo Barone: "If I had it my way, I would take you to my palace in the moon, where the stars shine always bright, and the angels sing all night a beautiful lover's hymn."

Venetia Aston-Montagu: "Her eyes were shut in wanton abandonment. Space and time disappeared as he moved inside her faster and faster, building up tension. Matching his rhythm, she was swept away as they danced together to a melody of a love that echoed inside her like the returning memory of a dream long forgotten." How is that for a description of making love with Paolo?! It's fabulously romantic is what it is.

Venetia has had her heart broken in a way that she never cares to revisit love again. Ten years spent building a life in Venice working for her godmother's architectural firm. It has been a "safe" existence. Her joy is in her work and in the beauty of the city which surrounds her. Until one night, Venetia is assaulted and rescued by a brave stranger - Paolo Barone. He flitters through her thoughts yet she continues to refuse the advances of this charming man. There is something about him. Something that echoes in her memory. He reminds her of someone she loved and lost. Yet there is no possibility that it could be him....so what is it that keeps drawing her to him.

I loved the detail of Italy, it is a place I always wanted to visit. I found her knowledge of Italy to be wonderful. She wrote a lovely book of romance, with a little mystery. One viewer wrote that she found it hard to believe Italy men would chase a women. Oh the best love stories are the ones that either the man or women keep saying NO, NO but win their love in the end. We men/women chasing the other sex all over the world on any given day. Italy is the land of romance more so then any other country. So I find this believable.

I loved the book’s cover, it shows mystery and who doesn’t love a little mystery in then romance. I enjoyed the read although I did find this book was a little too long with a little too much descriptions for me, I felt some of it could have been cut down to make it a better story. I did have a hard time getting into reading it and a little trouble throughout the book. I thought the ending was lovely and I loved the fact that two men were after her. I know some do not believe in love at first sight but for some this does happen, so I found this believable. All in all this was a nice, sweet read.
