The onion books are always funny. Even though there is a free Onion website it is great to have the collection of The Onion stories in book form. This collection is laugh out loud funny. This is a great gift for a college student or anyone with a sarcastic sense of humor especially a sports' fan . This collection's stories all revolve around athletes and sports so I thought it might be limiting but it wasn't. Great book!

I gave this to my husband as a gift & am very glad I did. He laughs every time he picks it up! He is a busy man & this is the type of book he can pickup, flip to a page, and read as much or as little of as he has time for. That was one factor in my decision to buy. He even laughs at the sports figures he likes. The Onion has always had a great way of writing their articles and this grouping is no exception. Highly recommend!

ALL of the Onion books are worth owning! i was particularly impressed with this one because it was 100% perfect - not a single dog-ear or blemish. And it cost a LOT less than buying it new.

Is there anything greater than an article where Shaq asks to have his injured hip replaced with lasers? I didn't think so. This is just a fantastic compilation of all the best sports headlines and articles from that ridiculous purveyor of parody, The Onion.
Other highlights include "Peyton Manning Shows His Backup Proper Way To Hold Clipboard" and "Tim Duncan Hams It Up For Crowd By Arching Left Eyebrow Slightly". If you know any sports fan with a decent sense of humor, this would be a great addition to their coffee table.

As with any Onion book, The Ecstasy of Defeat is totally on point. Very funny and a great coffee table book or gift for the sports fan in your life. Even people who don't usually "get" the Onion will like this book if they're a sports fan.

Got this for a friend's birthday. He loves sports and the onion. A perfect combo. I highly recommend this book for anyone mature enough to get the jokes.

The language can get a bit foul, but that's normal with the onion!

I got this as a present for my mothers boyfriend, who is a sports buff but also LOVES the onion. It came quickly and he seemed to really get a kick out of the book. It was wonderful gift idea.
