Format: Paperback
This fantastic tale of an American 'Gen-X'er and his distant relative is a wild roller-coaster of a book!
A fun who-done-it, and a must for "X-Flies"-style weirdness.
As, Ed, the young American gets deeper into the mystery of why David decided to smash Michelangelo's David's toe, he goes deeper down the rabbit hole of reincarnation, occult madness, and murder. While on its surface, it deals with lofty subjects from Renaissance-era religion and politics to modern day 'conspiracy theory' web-sites, author Vincent Cannata always keeps the readers attention with 'human error'-style comedy, and hilarious pop-culture references.

I highly recommend it!

This book is a page turner...kept me going from the start. I love a story that moves back and forth in time, and this one delivered. Was it real? Was it insanity? You read and find out. Money well spent.

Vincent Cannata's first novel delves into Renaissance art history and politics, and marries them to modern-day punk aesthetics and conspiracy theories. The action flows well, making for a quick read but it can also make you stop and think a bit about what influence art has on each of us.

It is not perfect, and it does have that intangible feel of a first novel. But it is so close to being right, and was such an enjoyable read, that I will not hesitate to pick up his second book, if and when it comes around.

Look - this was and is a good read. Histrionics, mystery, insanity, woven into a modern world of confusion and obliquity.

Every author starts somewhere with something. Vincent's first work makes thought provoking reading if you enjoy stepping into a fast paced adventure and involving yourself with new intrigue and possibilities. I look forward to the next work and seeing how this fine young author develops the craft. 5 stars for the new author! Keep challenging the readers, Vince. Everyone loves a good yarn.
