More About the Author

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah. I moved to Berkeley at ten, majored in music at Cal, married Gus, had four children and taught piano lessons. Now I write books and draw cartoons on personality. First was "The Enneagram Made Easy", then "Are You My Type, Am I Yours?" Then I wrote "The Enneagram of Parenting", "Finding the Birthday Cake" (a book for teaching the Enneagram to children), "The Happy Introvert", "The Career Within You" with Ingrid Stabb, "The Enneagram of Death", and "The Enneagram for Teens". Don't forget the "Beethoven Enneagram" CD, where I play parts of his piano sonatas with narration about his personality. I love my kids and grandkids and husband. I'm always curious about something - a 5 in the Enneagram, INFP in the MBTI.

Hodgepodge of short essays written by and about people of the nine types and how they deal with end of life issues. A summary of the insights Elizabeth Wagele got from reading these essays and a distillation of how one might help someone of that type get through the dying process might have been nice. There is something "unfinished" about this book.

Prior enneagram knowledge is recommended as this is "primary" material without much analysis by the author.

Format: Paperback
I found Elizabeth Wagele's latest book a memorable mix of moving personal stories and insightful personality explanations. Her ability to incorporate the Enneagram's application to a serious topic involving grief and death provides a solid foundation for practical understanding during trying times. Furthermore, the collection of true stories from various writers of various Enneagram types offers a diverse and touching range of perspectives about death and dying. For those who want to understand differing personal and personality-driven reactions during such difficult times, this book offers compassionate clarity.

helpful to understand those one has a close rapport with - perhaps more on each types grieving process would add to the tips and less on the various stories, as everyone has their own unique story

Ms. Wagele has a knack for making the Enneagram accessible to everyone while still providing insight to the long time devotee. The Enneagram, as taught by Ms. Wagele, is a fun and deep way of understanding individual differences and similarities with great compassion.
