5.0 out of 5 stars Totally in love with Vinnie! June 17, 2013
By Dawn M.
Format:Kindle Edition
I first read this author because amazon had her on my recommend list. I have continued to buy her because Amazon was right! Mrs. Griffin's writing will leave you dying for more every time. I bought all three books separately, but think this is a wonderful way for the first time reader to give it a try. The fourth and newest book in the series is Cold Moon Dead (Book 4 Esposito Series)

In book one we meet Vinnie after the death of her beloved aunt, who along with her mother has been the positive force in her life. We are also introduce to two male leads who will play pivotal roles not only in book one but also in the following books. The males are a hunky state trooper with attitude and a FBI agent, recovering from a bad case and relationship from hell. We also meet Vinnie's eccentric and hilarious to say the least relatives. Including a dad who wants her to be a "lady" and settle down. This book will have you reaching for the tissue as you both sympathize with her and laugh out loud at the trouble she manages to get into.

In book two we see more of Vinnie's family and watch the changes in her relationship with the two leads. We also meet her aunt who only dates mobsters, learn more about both her dad's past and FBI agent Aaron's past as well.

In book three we hit the holidays and finally get to meet the much alluded to "Saint" Giovanni, her brother who became a doctor. I loved this book so much I read it twice! I loved Vinnie's emotional growth the most in this book. Anyone with siblings or really close family will be able to empathize with her as she tries to recover from a injury, work, date and keep her "saintly" brother and his wife out of jail!

5.0 out of 5 stars Do You Like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum? July 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
"If you like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, you are going to love Vinnie Esposito. Feisty, intelligent and funny Vinnie has a large Italian family and defends them at all cost; not to mention the two law enforcement officers in her life, only one of which her family knows about. There is never a dull moment around Vinnie and lucky you, you get live vicariously through her." ~ Merry Noelle, Night Owl Reviews

The mysteries are light and a good read, but the interaction between the characters are what really makes the series! If you love Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, you need to read this series as well! Can't wait to see more from this author!

2.0 out of 5 stars Painfully repetitive July 13, 2013
By Mary
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I struggled through the second half of book 2 and had to skim through book 3 just to be done with this boxed set. How many times does the reader need to hear how hot the male characters are? I couldn't help thinking as I was reading "Pete & Repeat went out in a boat...Pete fell out and who was left" And really... "Mr Winky". Possibly a good read for late teens but just to childlike for this adult reader.

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT SERIES August 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Vinnie and crew were great fun to read about, had me laughing out loud several times. Trouble seems to follow Vinnie wherever she goes. JM Griffin kept the story lines light and fun. Once you get started it's hard to stop. I can't wait to read the fourth book and I understand that there's a fifth book in the works.
