This book contains a lot of vague assertions regarding proper nutrition. I was expecting this book to give a detailed explanation on exactly what a day to day healthy nutritious meal should contain, not a few chapters extolling the benefits of eating a diet with protein and grains etc... I think most people already know that. How much protein should a person eat in a day? How many servings of grains? This book should have been much more detailed. After reading this book I still have no idea how to prepare meals throughout the day providing my body with the proper nutrition that it needs.

If you are looking for a detailed instructional guide on how to eat healthy, keep looking.

Nicole does an excellent job of bringing nutrition to an understandable and practical format. It is logically organized, covers a wide range of topics and concerns that are important to clarify with all the mixed message in the media. This level of guidance will provide a great foundation or enhancement of nutrition knowledge from teens to seniors. It is a great resource with recipes, meal plans and more. Highly recommend.

Good book. It should have a section on food safety. Naturally occurring food spoilage as well as food contamination in not included. Hand washing also should be included. I would like to find a book that covers these topics in order to supplement this text.
