This book is not based on science. It is based on religious perspectives using scientific data to infer a coming biblical-style Rapture. Unfortunately, this is carried over on the website where sometimes blatant falsehoods are glossed over or ignored. Yes, the Earth is ever-nearing an important crossroads, but there is nothing to indicate that it is heading directly toward outright Extinction.

If you are aware of this underlying motive and still interested, then by all means feel free to give it a whirl for the end-times pornography factor.

As a Christian, I buy prophecy books. Have for some time. The last in "superstar" class that I read was Robert Van Kampan's "The Sign" published way back in '93. "The Extinction Protocol" equals "The Sign" due to the fact that it integrates a mountain of not-commonly known "Watchman-type" information into the somewhat commonly known prophetic skeleton, the bulk of which found in Daniel, Joel;, Ezekiel, Matthew, and Revelation. The book is a superb effort, and made even more complete by the author's website, which allows you to "update the pages" on a daily basis. Definitely one of my traveling companions until the end. Even so come Lord Jesus!

It's worth reading. It's very fact oriented. Not sure what the other customers are reading into this or if they were reading another book all together. I didn't find it wrapped in cult prophecy, but I did my research and apparently the author did as well.
It has a lot of information, but I'm a fast reader.
I feel bad that the other reviews are so personal nature.
Nevertheless, relax and enjoy as you take the trip of a lifetime.

This book is one of the most poorly written books I've read. The grammar is poor, punctuation is incorrect, words misspelled and words missing. The author presents a conclusion, then develops a way to support the conclusion. The author twists or manufactures words and numbers to support his conclusion. The author repeats himself several times, verbatim, in the book. I would not recommend this book to any one.
