As the author of 20 books and several empowerment articles, Cathy
Harris is highly regarded as an expert in her field and many other areas
including family and community empowerment, health, youth and adult
entrepreneurship, writing/publishing, workplace discrimination, whistleblowing,
domestic and international traveling, politics, law enforcement, car buying and
selling for women, media, beauty, aging/retirement, etc. She is known as a
woman in the business of uplifting and empowering her community. Her books and
articles are full of content-rich material to help anyone get back into the
driver's seat in this fallen economy.
While the book does point out some serious problems, the information provided is repeated over and over again. One is also subjected to a series of pushes by the author to purchase her other books. The information provided seemed like it was mostly from the 1990s, and I was really looking for current information. I was hoping to use the book for a research project, but really didn't get anything out of it. I felt it was a waste of time to read this book.
