4.0 out of 5 stars It's about time September 10, 2009

The first thing I want to get out of the way is a rant; these DVD's should have been available years ago. There is frankly no excuse for not releasing an American made cartooon in the United States especially in light of the fact that FOP season DVD's were available in other countries. That said, there are three good things about these DVD's of the first season of the Fairly OddParents; The picture and sound quality are very high, and they are in production order. It was enjoyable watching these early episodes. The only thing that prevented this from getting a higher rating is the fact there are no DVD extras. However, if you simply want the episodes, these DVD's are more than adequate.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Christmas Every Day" is not on this DVD. August 8, 2011
A Kid's Review
It's still a good DVD, but disc 2 is missing the "Christmas Every Day" special (which is okay because that's on the Season 2 DVD). I'll now list the episode summaries on each disc:

The Big Problem/Power Mad: Timmy almost looses his godparents when he wishes he was an adult./Chester and AJ get trapped in Timmy's virtual reality video game.
Spaced Out/Trans-Parents: Mark the alien winds up on Earth and falls in love with Vicky; Timmy tries to convice Mark's parents to take him back./Timmy gets C&W to poses as his parents at a parent/teacher confrense with Mr. Crocker; Chester and AJ try to catch Timmy's poofed-up dinosaur.
Chin Up/Dog's Day Afternoon: The Crimson Chin retires when Timmy shows him he's not real, but this ruins the comic book and the series will be canceled unless Timmy (as Cleft, the Boy Chin Wonder) can get the Chin back in action./Vicky treats her dog Doidle better than her "prisioners," so Timmy trades places with the dog. Timmy swiches back just in time for Doidle to get "fixed."

A Wish too Far/Tiny Timmy: Timmy wishes he had cool stuff to inpress Trixie, but soon becomes overly selfish and has to pay the price./Timmy uses a shinky-suit to finish his report on micro-bioligy; C&W take a tour of Vicky.
Father Time/Apartnership: Timmy goes back in time to try to stop Dad from winning the trophy he (Timmy) broke, but has to undo it when his time change turns his Dad into the dictator of the world./Cosmo's mom, Mrs. Cosma, forces him to play a dating game; Timmy tries to make his parents anniversery dinner.
Dream Goat/The Same Game: Timmy frees the city's mascot, a goat named Chompy, because Chompy seems miserable, and pins it on Vicky. He soon startes "sleep-wishing" out of guilt, and chaos insues.

Where's the very first episode when Timmy meets his fairy godparents for the very first time? I'm shocked that no one else noticed this!

5.0 out of 5 stars How Fairly Odd that this is one of the Best Shows. September 10, 2012
Verified Purchase
This show is a very important piece of my, and others', childhoods. I remember when I watched 'The Fairly Odd Parents' the first few times back in the day, I knew it was going to be one of my top 3 favorite shows of all time forever. If you are 5, 9, 12, or even older, this show will make you want to watch each episode infinitely. There is something for everyone in this series. If you're a fan of fairies, this will definitely satisfy you. Like outrageous comedy, 'Fairly Odd Parents' surely has fairly odd humor. Lol. And for pretty much anyone else who's a fan of pixies and geneies will love this show. Bottom line, if you are looking for a fun time, I highly recommend buying this. It's the best $20 I have ever spent on a dvd. I wish this review was helpful to all. Wow! How fairly odd that his is one of the best shows.
The only one complaint I have though is that it would have been cool to know what edition of this dvd I was buying (2009 edition with old Nick logo and/or 2011 with new Nick logo). But I am just glad it works flawlessly. ;)
