Book Description

November 6, 2012
When rock-god vampire Johnny Malone commits suicide, the rest of The Impalers gather for an Irish wake and jam session to send their bandmate off in style. But alcohol-laced blood and grief make for one hell of a combination…

When her brother, Johnny, dies, Stella Malone’s grief lands her in the buff arms of The Impalers’ bass player. While her tryst with Wyatt had some serious bite, Stella isn’t looking for a relationship, especially after a tipsy argument leads to her getting stuck in bat form at the wake. The rest of the hungover Impalers are in no shape to help her, meaning that Stella’s one night stand is the only one who can help her figure out what really happened last night. Only Wyatt doesn’t have a clue what happened last night, either, nor does he know that Stella is the bat currently dive-bombing his head. But he does have her purse and that has to be a start, right? Or not.

On the other hand, there is a priest passed out in the bathtub and an alcoholic parrot squawking about a chapel of love...

Which might explain the ring on Berto Cortez’s finger. How did a night of rock ’n’ roll debauchery result in him turning sexy washboard player Katie Lambert into a vampire and then marrying her? He wouldn’t. He couldn’t. But he can’t quite remember, exactly. Which means these four friends turned amnesiac couples have only one choice: hit the famed Bourbon Street for some answers…

The Fangover by Erin McCarthy and Kathy Love
Paranormal Romance -Nov 6th, 2012
4 ˝ stars

Fun, fun, fun! This is a lighthearted and sexy read that fans of these authors will adore! As a group of vampires have a wild night they can't remember and must try to connect the pieces.

The Impalers are a famous rock band made of vampires. When their singer Johnny Malone commits suicide, his sister (and the band manager), Stella Malone finds herself feeling scared and alone. As a result, she jumps on the unsuspecting guitar player Wyatt for comfort! Embarrassed, Stella leaves Wyatt abandoned and longing for more. For Wyatt has secretly been in love with Stella for years.

But trouble is lurking around the corner when the entire band discovers themselves disoriented and unable to remember anything that happened after Johnny's wake. One of the band members finds he may be married and another has a burn of the cross on his forehead. But what worries Wyatt is that he can't find Stella! When he does finally finds her, she can't remember what happened either. And so starts a journey that is surprising and hilarious.

This book is a tweek on the movie the Hangover. As all the members of the band try to retrace their steps. I liked how uptight Stella finally lets go and find love with the worthy Wyatt. Their romance was very sweet. At first, I was skeptical when I learned that there were two co-authors even if I do enjoy each of their writing. But the book flowed very smoothly and I found that I could stop reading! I wanted to find out what happened to each of the band members. As the authors effortlessly guided me through the story I was captivated by the ongoing and increasingly outrageous mishaps. This book also has another secondary romance about another band member that was equally entertaining and charming. What a riot! I hope these two authors write another book together.

If you are looking for a lighthearted, outrageous read to tickle your funny bone this book will not disappoint!

4.0 out of 5 stars LITERAL ADDICTION's Review of The Fangover November 19, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Michelle L. Olson:

I've been excited for this release since the last time that LITERAL ADDICTION hosted Kathy Love and then Erin McCarthy separately for Author Events and we chatted about it a bit in the Live chat with Erin.

I jumped on it the minute it was auto-delivered to my Kindle and spent the night laughing, shaking my head with a smile and ultimately loving the light-heartedness and cohesiveness of the tale.

As the intro states, Kathy and Erin each took a different couple and wrote their tales and then sat down and worked out the timeline and chapter layout. When all was said and done, what they ended up with was a Paranormal Hangover/Bridesmaids spoof with lots of humor and mystery, revolving around some truly lovable characters and a wonderful setting, all wrapped up with 2 unique love stories and some fun surprises.

All in all, it was sex, blood, & rock-n-roll and I found myself asking "What more could you want?", then answering with: "Maybe an alcoholic parrot singing Barry White, a priest in a bathtub, a curiously missing fang, a couple of wedding rings, a newly made vampire, & an Elvis cookie jar!?"

The Fangover was entertainment that only Erin McCarthy & Kathy Love could provide! It had lots of laughs, red-hot romance, baffling intrigue & surprise and was truly a mood-lifting read.

LITERAL ADDICTION gives The Fangover 4 Skulls.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun reading. January 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I really wanted to love this story, because I love other Erin McCarthy books. And I admit it had some funny things going on and I love the guys in the band. But, after a while I just wanted to get through it. It didn't have allot of plot and maybe that is what Erin wanted. It just got too "fluffy" after a while.
