I loved the Turkey burgers! Served on toasted focaccia rolls with a smear of mayonnaise (trust me, I'm not even a mayonnaise person), and a healthy spread of pepper jelly this burger was the perfect mix of crunchy, juicy, sweet and salty, with a kick of jalapeno. This is a recipe I will definitely be saving, and making for guests.

The banana brulee was also a delicious success, but don't be afraid to add anything you can find to it. Go crazy with the brown sugar. Sprinkle some walnuts into the oatmeal layer. Invite your spice rack for breakfast- cinnamon, nutmeg, honey, rum!

While the sections - breakfast, vegetable entrées, etc. - are easy to navigate, this cookbook ignore seasons. Since its goal is to educate people about local foods, information on when you can get certain items will help readers avoid a second trip to the grocery store in defeat, or the embarrassment of asking their local Massachusetts farmers where the mangos are.

The Farmstand Favorites Cookbook is a delightful collection of recipes featuring ingredients from farmers markets around the country. Easy and fast recipes that would fit into the everyday of busy people who enjoy seasonal produce. Many of the delicious recipes are contributed by interest organizations or farmers and therefore feature the product first and foremost, not exotic flavorings or elaborate preparation methods. Truly a down-to-earth collection of recipes that will enable even the beginner cook to take full advantage of the bounty at farmers markets.

There are lots of options in this cookbook for simple, quick, and delicious meals! The recipes are basic enough so minor alterations are possible without compromising the intent of the original recipe. Also, substituting ingredients that have been "put away" for fresh ingredients during the winter works well, too! I plan on using this cookbook frequently!

A solid cook book of mostly easy recipes that rely on fresh and unprocessed foods. Total pages 222, most recipes are short and easy to follow, few pictures included. (See review of The Four Season Farm Gardener's Cookbook for comparison).

There are a ton of great recipes in here! I would love it thought if there were actually less recipes and more photos- almost TOO much to choose from in this book..
