First things first, I'm a huge fan of John Green and The Fault in Our Stars. I'm a Nerdfighter. I've known about this movie since last year and I've been dying to see it and hear the music for the movie. That being said, when I finally heard about the soundtrack, I was nervous. I didn't know what songs would be chosen and how they would fit in with the tone of this movie (even though I haven't seen it yet, but I've read the book a few times so I have a feeling I know what the tone is). I've always had trouble with soundtracks because I haven't found a single one where I've liked every song. I'm pretty picky with my music.

So I purchased this soundtrack and wow. Just wow. The case itself (or the one I got) has the movie cover on it, like the picture shows. Inside the booklets are image stills from the movie with some popular quotes from the book. And the CD is adorable: blue with "Okay Okay" on it. Now, as for the actual music, I've made it through every song on the CD once, and I have to say that I like all of them. Sure, there are some that I like more than others, but I feel that way about every CD I buy. And I do feel that some songs capture the tone of this movie/book more so than others ("Not About Angels" by Birdy will give you a massive case of the feels). But I do like all the songs because they each bring something that fit The Fault in Our Stars so perfectly. If you're nervous that perhaps you might not like the CD, then I recommend finding the songs on YouTube or another website where you can sample them and judge them for yourself. But I would recommend this CD, hands down, to anyone who loved the book or loves the movie. Because of this CD, I'm more excited to see this movie than before and I was already bouncing off the walls in excitement.

DFTBA!

This collection of songs reminds me of the collection from Juno, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but is a far better collection because there's not a single song in here that I want to skip when it's turn arrives to be played. This is good music to drive to, read to, romance to, and remember to. While not a party album, it's an album you can play when the party is for a group of friends that enjoys each other's company and doesn't need to get bombed to enjoy.

this has seriously been one of my favorite CD's ever. the music is so good. i wouldn't have otherwise listened to these artists but now am SO glad they were featured in the movie so I could be exposed to them. The songs also perfectly fit the movie and i can play the movie out in my head as a listen. A++++++! buy it!

This soundtrack fits perfectly with the tone and beauty of the book and, I'm sure, of the film as well. I cannot wait for this story to be shown around the world!

Great Soundtrack! Has an eclectic mix of music from Birdy to Ray LaMontagne to Lykke Li. It even has the Swedish Hip-Hop
track BOMFALLERALLA that Van Houten liked in the John Green novel. I just love all the music--replay it all the time. Also
recommended--the Score. If you can get only one, buy the music album--you won't be disappointed!

I bought this as a gift for a friend. She took me to the movie and I heard her taking about how much she loved the sound track and I instantly ordered it for her. She's very pleased; she loves all the songs on the track and keeps listening to it over and over again. Very indie and popish. I'm happy she's happy with this order :) I reccomend it, I think I might buy my self one now!

Such a good soundtrack for a film like this... I just have to get it on vinyl + you get the MP3 digital copy as bonus.

"All I Want" is sung by Kodaline, not Tom Odell. Similarly, "Long Way Down" is sung by Tom Odell, not Kodaline.
Music is good, but the switching of artists shows carelessness. Might want to fix that, Amazon.
