Book Description

April 6, 2012

It was said, those who studied as Vesudeva’s apprentice reached their heart’s desire. Master too many masters, Vesudevea agrees to be interviewed by a local reporter about the ancient teaching and his life’s work. Ferryman to both rich and poor; transporting travelers across the river, and helping others embrace a timeless, spiritual Reality.

During their interview, the ancient ferryman introduces the reporter to spiritual learning;   transporting him to a world within a world.  A Reality that is always changing, yet, Singular and transcendent; built upon preconceptions and conditioned thoughts. Shattering them one after another, in the Light of Truth.

Join us. Let Vesudeva guide you. Offering this ancient, spiritual teaching, in an updated form; your journey across the timeless river is presented in layers. Wherein each layer, like a day’s events, can be viewed separately or combined to form a larger work.

What Reader’s Had to Say

The Ferryman’s Dream is an exciting, creative, imaginative and informative journey into the heart of consciousness. It is a wonderful story that will open your heart and mind. A must read!-- Stephen Taus, MD, Ranchos Palos Verdes, CA

The poetry intertwined in the story is timeless wisdom and uplifting to the spirit. Reading this book you are sitting on the riverbank sipping mint tea and eating raspberries with Emil. You can feel the river slipping past the bank, time is suspended, and daily concerns are gone. It is simply tea, raspberries and the divine spirit.-- Rhonda Thaut, Washington, IA

The Ferryman invites us to sit beside him by the water and listen to our own inner voice of wisdom. Redirecting us from what may seem to be an overwhelming task of understanding the meaning/purpose of life.-- Figen Bico, Istanbul, Turkey

In The Ferryman’s Dream, Dr. Bitkoff has combined exposition, story-telling, and poetry to impart ancient Sufi wisdom to contemporary readers. This book is a helpful guide for those seeking a path to inner knowledge.-- Sheikha Halima JoAnn Haymaker, Santa Rosa, CA

4.0 out of 5 stars A Contemporary Book of Wisdom May 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
In "The Ferryman's Dream" the author has summarized much of the wisdom that he has collected, experienced and realized over his life-time. This is not a book written using ancient terminology, out-dated language and parables but in a very communicative and fluid language. For people who are interested in spiritual life can pick up this book as an introduction. Though the language and approach employed are rather simple, yet these pages have some of the most eternal truth and wisdom that can ever be communicated. The chapters are short for ease of reading and can be revisited again and again, with each new reading fresh wisdom will be revealed to the reader.

This is a useful contribution by Dr. Stewart Bitkoff in the genre of `everyday spirituality' and contextualized for the modern mind who wish to receive initiation into the realm of spirituality. I wish the author every success in reaching his message across many hearts.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Own River Journey... December 18, 2012
Format:Paperback
"The Ferryman's Dream" is a parable of my journey. It's a parable of yours, too. Vesudeva not only traveled, according to legend, with Siddhartha culminating in the crossing of his river into Buddha-hood, so to speak, but Vesudeva...Spirit...Life Itself...whatever it is you wish to call it, is your travel companion...your guide into the awakened life, too. I loved this...Bitkoff's latest work. Stewart is a skilled teacher himself and practitioner of the higher self. Thanks Stewart for writing yet another excellent and engaging story, replete with wisdom to guide any reader's journey inward. For anyone interested in the journey into enlightenment, you'll find a faithful Vesudeve in The Ferryman's Dream."

Dr. Steve McSwain, Author and Spiritual Teacher
