This is a book that could/will save thousands of fibro patients a lot of pain and foggy brains. My wife has severe fibromyalgia. It was so difficult to watch her suffer after I realised that she wasn't faking pain. At first I just thought she was lazy because she was in bed a lot saying she was in pain and had absolutely no energy. It got worse as the years passed and I got fed up. So I took her to a pain specialist over 200 miles from home. After two visits he diagnosed her as having fibromyalgia...this unknown affliction that was affecting more and more people, usually women. No one could explain it accurately. This book DOES explain it accurately and scientifically. We waited nine months to get in to see Dr. David Dryland. After her appointment I suddenly knew that this was a REAL affliction but now there WAS A CURE. She started on Mirapex 3/7/05 and six weeks later she has NO PAIN! After reading this book everything that had been happening was so clear. It helped me get her to this point and the last seminar Dr. Dryland held helped me personally (The content will be in his next book "Taking Control of YOur Fight or Flight Response - An Instruction Manual to the Human Brain" coming out in July 2005.) as well as gave my wife a way to keep the pain away forever without medication later on. If you have Fibro or your spouse, sibling, or anyone you know has it, help them by reading this book. Soon there will be no fibro sufferers left...if they are smart enough to read this book. Thanks Dr. Dryland.

Most of the other reviews look like they are fake or written by groupies. This book contains virtually nothing useful and is nothing more than a sales pitch for mirapex and other medications. He says he doesn't advocate mirapex as a first option yet does nothing but praise it and offers no alternatives other than to look at alledged causes which are incomplete if not totally bogus. He lists RLS as a cause... What a joke. Mirapex has crazy side effects. Do the research and save your money on this typical MD garbage that only touts his theory and suggests mirapex. Fibro is treatable through diet and lifestyle changes. There is no cure here. He should be sued for fraud. People can name their books whatever they want. Call it curb your fibro with mirapex instead.

Forget about treating your symptoms -- this book will teach you how to get rid of fibromyalgia once and for all. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in January by Dr. Dryland. Since then, I followed the steps in this book and am thrilled to report that I no longer have any fibromyalgia symptoms. If you, or someone you love, thinks they might have fibro, you need this book.

David Dryland, M.D., a doctor of Rheumatology from Yale University, a former patient of Fibromyalgia, and a very kind-hearted person wrote The Fibromyalgia Cure. Before meeting Dr. Dryland, I'd been a Fibromyalgia patient for 20 years. I had given up the thought of ever returning to a normal life. Dr. Dryland's book, seminars and treatment are giving me my life back. With his clear, concise and easy to follow method, patients like myself are gradually getting well. For Fibromyalgia patients this is truly the explanation and treatment we've been waiting for. Beginning with this book, I urge others with this condition to try this medical approach. The key to the cure for Fibromyalgia lies in raising and maintaining an optimal level of dopamine. Like many others, you will gradually see positive results. Experience the joy of getting your life back.

Dr. Drylands' book is easy to read and understand. His scientific research coupled with his sincere desire to help all of us that have had "no hope", is revealed in every word on every page. This book is a MUST read for all that suffer and the medical practioners that treat them. I can't wait for the next book!

Dr Dryland is an amazing person and Dr. He knows what it is to suffer with fibro. He has had it himself. I read this book and have gone to his seminars and finally understand how I got fibro and how to get it out of my life. This is the best book onfibro I have in my collection. I have bought 3 more for people I know and care about.

My life was lost, due to fibromyalgia, until a good friend gave me Dr. Dryland's book. His diagnosis made sense. The best part is there is a "cause" and a "solution". My own doctor, after some research, let me start taking mirapex. And!! Whala!! After starting at a very low dose, and moving up to an optimal dose, I am pain free. It is a miracle. It has been 3 months and I still feel no pain. I have never met Dr. Dryland, but because of him I GAINED MY LIFE BACK!! YOU CAN TOO! READ HIS BOOK AND WORK WITH YOUR DOCTOR. You will thrive again. Was diagnosed with fibro about 3 years ago. It started with pain in both my thighs. Thought I had strained them somehow. It spread to my whole legs then my body. Never had this kind of pain in my life. It was scary because my doctor did not know what it was. Changed doctors and was diagnosed with fibro. Did some major research on the internet and found that certain vitamins and minerals could help. Someone told me that iodine cured their brain fog. I had brain fog bad. Took 12,5 mg daily and my brain fog disappeared. Was doing better on all these vitamins but was still in pain. THen I got David Dryland's book the cure for fibro.
Got the book and discovered he was giving his fibro patients Maripex and for those who could tolerate it they were cured. One of the major side effects of Maripex is naseau. Had to talk my doctor into giving me Maripex. This drug was designed for people who have MS. I started out with a low dosage. It took me several months to work up to 4.5mg which is the maximum dose. In a few more months my fibro symptoms were gone. Have been on Maripex for over one year. I am not trying to be your doctor but I have been through this and I know it works. Dr. Dryland is in CA where I live. Your doctor can call him at his office and he will talk to them. Some doctors are closed minded to new things. Had to twist my doctors arm into giving me this drug. Had no naseua at all. If you are suffering with fibromyalgia just read this book and you can make up your own mind. For me it was a miricle.

I loved it!!! We fibro patients have longed for this book from the moment of diagnosis! This book not only tells you what fibromyalgia really is but also one way to cure it. It is backed by actual scientific facts after five years of research and study by Dr. Dryland. He had fibro so he knows what it does to you from first hand knowledge. He cured himself the natural way and in July his second book comes out to explain it to you. His books are valuable to fibro sufferers as well as to spouses and other people living with fibro patients. You owe it to yourself to read this wonderful, enlightening book! It is not a theory like all that came before...There are sceptics, but I got well! I have no pain after seven weeks of medication, Meripex, a Parkinson's Disease drug.

Dr. Dryland has written a book that brings together much of the current research about Fibromyalgia along with his own intimate understanding of the syndrome. He presents a revolutionary approach from a western physician in that he not only presents findngs on new medication, but also discusses how our thoughts can influence what happens in our bodies. I would have like to have seen a bit more of the science that he discusses, and some instruction on how to question the fight or flight response in addition to the tease of his next book.
