Life brings alot of the unknown and unexpected. Being sure footed is essential for success. And, being sure footed does not mean there no weaknesses, differences, or faults to be found. It means holding to what is true in the relationship between two who are married. This book helps you see yourself and your spouse in every shade of color, and to know that those colors show best when it "rains". It has counsel that will help you to remain sure footed in what is True. A must for every newly wed couple and for those who are in the adjustment period of the first five years. The counsel embraced in the pages of this book will help you to know that what is faced in the first five years is normal.

I gave this book to a very young couple as a wedding gift. As I browsed through it, I found helpful stuff even for an old married person like myself. It covers a multitude of topics in just a couple pages each. A quick reference for busy people who just need some coaching now and then.

I got this after recently getting married. It is okay. It is set up in a question and answer format with different articles from several authors. I thought it was okay, but not very deep. I would recommend The Most Important Year of Your Life also endorsed by Focus instead.

I found out about this book from my daughter who attended the Focus on the Family Institute for a semester. Since then I have purchased multiple copies as gifts. Every couple getting married gets one as part of their wedding gift. I have received wonderful thank you notes from these couples who have found the information to be very helpful.

A great book for couples engaged or beginning a marriage. The book covers so many areas important to a happy marriage that few counselors or resources address. Having been married for 47 years, we were counseled by church marriage counselors with this information when we were engaged. Few churches, apparently, require this beneficial information. If only my beloved children had this insightful information before they married, life would be different for all of us in the family.
