Also work very well when your trying to stop breastfeeding- or use a bottle while breast feeding..

It's worth a try for someone else, since every baby is different, there isn't one miracle bottle that works for them all.
Ashley
Great bottle for nursing babies, it makes baby latch the nipple similar to breast so no nipple confusion later.

I read some of the bad reviews on these bottles and never had any problems with leaking liquids.

It is true that the few few sucks they seem to take in a lot of air, but if you burp regularly during feeding (which, in my opinion, you should do anyway) then it doesn't affect them.

I exclusively breastfed my baby for about 2 months, slowly introducing bottles in the last month before I had to return to work full time. He had the hardest time taking ANY bottle. He'd fuss, cry, and push it away until I gave in and just nursed.

When it came time to go to work, he was freaking out with his grandparents. He refused to eat all day long with them and just cried and cried until I got off and picked him up. I was devastated, and it almost drew me to quit my job so that I could be with him. The thought of him wailing all day long broke my heart.

So, desperate, I went to the store and bought every brand of bottle they offered! Dr Browns, Avent, Playtex Drop Ins (with several different nipples), Training Sippy Cups, Adiri, Nubi, Prince Lionheart and of course First Years Breastflow. One weekend I tried every single one. When I gave him the breastflow, he latched on immediately and GULPED in a way I've only seen him do while he's nursing! He even fell asleep in my arms after the feeding!

Truely, to this day, he will only eat from these bottles and I'm so comfortable going to work now. These bottles offered me a relief from my anxiety, and I thank the person who designed them with all of my heart.

Reading the other reviews, these bottles may not be good for a colicky baby - however, if your baby is like mine and has a major aversion to the bottle after exclusively nursing - it's perfect :)

I absolutely love the double nipple. I offered this bottle to my 2 week old and he easily took it, and easily went back on the breast. Now he's 8 weeks and still breastfeeds great with the occasional bottle.

As I was preparing to return to work and stocking up on pumped milk, I transferred 3 oz from my pump bottle into the BreastFlow bottle, and was surprised to see it read only (about) 2.25. My husband got a medical shot glass (for dosing medicine) and measured it out, it was in fact 3 oz of milk. I compared it with another brand and it also read 3 oz.

That means when I've gone by the BF markings I've fed him much more than I thought. I don't know if it's the curved shape of the bottle that messed up the readings or they were printed too high on it, but that is a serious amount of difference for a very young infant. Both of my BF bottles are the same. I also just ordered 3 more, so now I have 5 bottles I need to use a sharpie on to create correct oz markings for my nanny, my husband and myself to read.

If it weren't for the awesome nipple system, I would abandon these. It's also a shame the nipple is not compatible with any other bottle because I have 3 other brands of bottle which all work interchangeably, so I wish I could use the nipple on an accurate bottle.

My daughter was early and when you have a preemie in the NICU you are pretty much forced to bottle feed before breastfeeding is going well. She got to the point where she simply could not breastfeed no matter what and would just get really frustrated and not get much milk out. I got a Breastflow bottle and nipple and within a few days she was doing at least an ounce or two by breastfeeding, and tonight, a few weeks later, for the first time ever she did her whole feeding by breastfeeding. I honestly think this bottle saved her ability to breastfeed. I think it taught her to open her mouth wider and how to compress and suck, as opposed to the smaller narrower regularnipples she was used to. She did not like the bottle at first but now she does just fine with it and I don't think she'd be breastfeeding without it.

When I had my second child on June 1, I intended to breastfeed. He wouldn't take to it, and I started pumping and bottle feeding to get him the breast milk he needed. I heard about this bottle, and wanted to give it a try. We purchased this bottle on July 1. In the freezer, I have my final bag of pumped breast milk dated July 5. I don't know what it was about this bottle, but with this bottle and a little determination my baby is now exclusively breastfed. My friends are shocked that he was able to relearn, and so is my pediatrician. I know it was this bottle (compared to the ninety-nine cent bottles I picked up because I *needed* bottles for him in the beginning) that turned everything around! Thank you for making this fabulous bottle! It truly changed meal time at our house!

I bought this bottle thinking it would be the solution to my breastfed daughter not taking any bottles. I tried NUK, Advent, Dr. Brown's and Playtex, this being the last one I decided to buy. Sorry to say that she refuses this bottle as well as all the others. I don't think that there is a flaw in the bottle I just figure she must not want to use a bottle and prefers me instead. That said the bottle is fine. There are people that have complained about milk leaking out of the bottle which I was worried about because any BF mom knows that milk is precious! However there are little areas you push that allow the milk to drain back into the bottle and it explains this in the directions. My only thought about those that are complaining about it, they must NOT have read the directions at all. Also if you are thinking about bottle feeding don't wait too long like I did. I would recommend this bottle because I had no leaking problems with it, and it felt soft and very pliable to my touch. Just make sure to read the directions when getting the milk from the nipple to the bottle.

Also in reference to those complaints about cleaning the bottle a simple solution I used is to have a small bowl of warm water that I soak the bottle in before I clean it, that way the milk does not get crusted on there...so I also had NO issued with cleaning the nipple either. Great design I had no problems at all.
