These have been the best bottle nipples ever.
K. Ann Seeton
The only problem I have with them (and the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5) is that the inner portion of the nipple seems to tear fairly quickly.
Angie
I didn't realize this until the baby had been sucking and sucking and getting terribly frustrated that she wasn't getting any milk.

The Breastflow line of bottles is the best I found for my daughter, who was breastfed the first 6 months and was very picky about her bottles. These are easy to clean and they are easy for her to hold. The only problem I have with them (and the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5) is that the inner portion of the nipple seems to tear fairly quickly. I don't know if it's because I put them in the dishwasher and the heat breaks them down, but the reason I've had to buy these is because the ones that came with my original starter set cracked and too much milk was coming out. I wish I could buy the inner part separate from the actual nipple, but I went to the manufacturer's website and it doesn't appear that I can.

These nipples have worked great for my daughter going back and forth between breastfeeding and the bottle. You have to be careful though because the inner nipple is highly sensitive to heat! I was sterilizing the nipples and bottles (boiling water) and the inner blue nipple melted in to a heap on one of mine, and the other got a large crack at the hole where the milk came out. I had to buy more. Then we bought the fast flow and my daughter hated them because they were too fast (she is 5 months old). We went back to the original slow flow. I still like this bottle overall, especially over the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Set, which I feel like was an expensive waste of money. Just beware when using boiling to sterilize your stuff!

We have used these nipples/bottles with my son since he was a week old. He took to them right away, and has never had any problems feeding with the BreastFlow system. They helped immensely to transition between BF and bottle feeding while I was at work. Like many other reviewers have noted, the inner blue nipple does break down and crack over time. We have hand-washed the bottles 95% of the time (occasionally tossing them into the bottle basket in the dishwasher). Ours did seem to last quite a bit longer that way. We were also using about 10 of the bottles--4 of the bigger "step 2", and 6 of the smaller "step 1". It does help to rotate them, so I would buy 2 or 3 of the starter packs of bottles/nipples if I had to start over again.
The cracks at the top of the blue part were not really noticeable for the first 6 months or so. My son is almost a year old, and we still use the original parts (in hindsight I would have replaced the nipples about 8 months in, but he's almost done with the bottle at this point). We will definitely replace the nipples for baby #2 due to the cracking. But the bottles do still function fairly well even with the cracks.
If I were buying them new today, I would also want someone to tell me that the way the these nipples are designed allows the milk to collect in the clear part of the nipple as the baby is drinking from the bottle. You have to periodically stand the bottle upright and squeeze the tabs on the sides to get the milk back down into the bottle. This takes a little getting used to at first, but after a couple of days you don't really even notice.
Still a good buy, and I would still recommend these bottles over some of the other brand names. Would have been 5 stars if not for the cracking.

I love these nipples. I have to go back and forth between breastfeeding and bottles due to work and my baby has never had a problem switching, no fussing or refusing to eat. Highly recommend for any working mom who is worried about losing that bond with their baby.

I was using Medela nipples until my pediatrician showed me how much they stunk! Then when I switched to these, going back and forth from breastfeeding to bottlefeeding was SO much smoother (as they say it should be)... I am thankful for the genius who invented them!

These have been the best bottle nipples ever. I have been breast feeding and using a bottle for breast milk when I need to be away, and there has been no difficulty with going back and forth with these nipples, but with other of my children and different bottle nipples there were LOTS of problems. The design of these nipples seems to have solved the old "nipple confusion" problem quite well. We are a happy mom and baby pair!

We started using these with our first daughter, and overall, we're very pleased with them. We used these to transition from breast-feeding and that went without a hitch. The thing we noticed though is that the harder, inner nipples started to break-down and crack after a few months. One-by-one, we had to start throwing them away, so I went ahead and purchased this Breastflow Stage 2 Nipple 2 Pack to replace them. To be absolutely honest, these have held-up even worse. I purchased them on June 10th, and as of today (July 26th), the end of one of them has completely deteriorated and the other has very noticeable cracks. That's a whole lot less life than I was expecting, especially since my daughter is having fewer bottles than she used to.

Overall, we still like the Breastflow bottles, but the durability of the inner nipples really leaves something to be desired. It's also a shame that they aren't sold separately at a lower price point, because that would probably make buying more a little bit less of an offense. While I doubt we'll be changing bottles with my oldest (now weaning her off the bottle at 21 months), we'll definitely be looking for another product when our 4 month old twins are ready for them.
