I fear that some may overlook this album as it appears to be an EP.

If you read any of my former reviews you'll know that my criteria is a 2-parter.

PART 1
1): Lyrical content. For me the lyrics must do one of two things and BOTH if possible.

1A): The lyrics must honor and glorify, (Praise), the LORD GOD/ JESUS/ The HOLY SPIRIT ! Period. Death to self !
and/ or
1B): The lyrics should CHALLENGE the listener, especially if the listener professes to be a believer, in his/ her Christian walk. That is the reality of our sin state, the Redemption and Grace that comes from Christ our Lord and the fact that we should live our lives in such a way that GOD gets ALL the GLORY !

Are we perfect? Certainly not, but we have a responsibility to live for CHRIST, not ourselves.

PART 2
the Beats, I can get with the "dirty south" sound, my native east coast vibe and just about anything else, from the west coast beats to the mid-west flow.

But there does exist "corny beats" so if I can't nod my head to it, I'm probably not feeling it even if lyrically it's correct.

CONCLUSION
Stephen the Levite is lyrically on point, his message that the Gospel is real, relevant and necessary is also clear. The beats are east coast in sound and I miss that old school sound so the album works for me on both counts.

Pay the 6 dollars and pick up this album. It's worth it.

Christ honoring lyrics, Bible based content, encouraging songs, fresh jams, Cant wait for the next album! I own all of his albums so far and hope he keeps churning out these amazing tunes. I got saved in 1995 and was an old school rap junkie. This has been such a help to me in the past few years!
