Some of these ideas are still quite usable but a few others are clearly outdated. Having an curious editor combine the best of what still works with new knowledge on organic growing techniques, new EPA requirements, current USDA food preservation skills, etc., would make this series of pamphlets pertinent to the homesteaders of the 21st century.

The old ways may not always be best but they certainly should be remembered. That's what this book does. It helps preserve the ways of the past by putting them into a simple, easy to understand format. If your interested in the way things used to be done and still can be done this is the book for you.
