Problems with Foundry on Kindle FIXED,
This review is from: The Foundry @ The Heritage Foundation (Kindle Edition)
The Foundry had been experiencing some technical issues with the Kindle that have since been resolved. It now shows up on the Kindle perfectly! Hope everyone enjoys and thanks for reading!

I have been subscribed to this for about a month now and appreciate the articles. I haven't had any issues with formatting or missing words as listed by previous reviewers, so this has been fixed. Think of it as a "whistleblowing" blog dedicated to exposing poor government. You learn a lot when you hear about these things that aren't necessarily on your evening news, highlighting reckless spending, poor wording in congressional bills, and the motivations behind things.
When our government tries to quietly slip things through the cracks, it's a publication like this that keeps us informed. The evening news sure as heck won't.

I've been reading articles for almost a weeks and I would have to say there are no issues. Updates come daily. I will continue this blog download because I enjoy reading it; however, I think most of these are priced too high for what you get, but not high enough for me to cancel out yet.

I tried the 2 week trial and just couldn't get interested in the Blog. I'm a Conservative looking for Political news. It could be how the headings were titled. I'd skim thru the articles and read the ones that looked interesting. Didn't read many.

Too hard to read.,

The articles here are good, but they are almost impossible to read because of missing words and sentences that make no sense. Wherever this is coming from is not translating well when it gets to the Kindle format. I'm canceling my subscription.

I was initially excited about this blog, because it is one of the few on Kindle to be updated regularly throughout the day. The articles entice with current relativity and knowledgeable content, but issues with missing words and formatting prevent enjoyment of this blog.

missing phrases/sentences,
This review is from: The Foundry @ The Heritage Foundation (Kindle Edition)
A sentence makes no sense because of missing phrases. The missing sentences are important to the subject. I googled on 'The Foundry @ The Heritage Foundation' and see that all highlighted URL's are omitted from the subscription blog, whether they be words, phrases, or full sentences. If URL is the problem can we get the missing words without the URL function? Will this issue be remedied? Immediately? Or should I cancel my subscription?

Not readable due to technical problems.,
This review is from: The Foundry @ The Heritage Foundation (Kindle Edition)
As other reviewers have noted, any words, phrases or sentences that are linked to other articles do not appear in the blog. As a reult, you are missing parts of sentences or paragraphs, making understanding the posts difficult at best.
Until this issue is fixed, it is not worth the price to subscribe to this blog. |
