In her lovely book, that hinges on memoir, Laura Wellington stirs up your inner soldier , and puts you face to face with yourself. Using the principles of Colin Powell, she gives you tools to win the battle and the quest for weight management. Highly recommend!

Format: Paperback
After reading this book there should not be any more excuses. The inspiration and motivation for sticking to a plan and meeting challenges is there for the taking. Presented in an easy to read format it replaces the drudgery of common health books.

This book puts a new spin and point of view out there for people who have struggled with dieting....it's fresh, revitalizing, and more of a referance book to keep you motivated and inspired through out your life rather than a fad diet book which you read and then never pick up again.
I completely whole heartedly recommend this book, you can tell that the author has a spirit and magic that should be listened to.. I plan to read this book for years whenever I need a swift but inspirational kick in the pants :)

It's not often that a diet book starts each chapter with a quote from one of the most accomplished and respected leaders of our time and then builds on those words of wisdom to provide the reader with good, sensible advice and examples of how they can take control of their health. Of course no diet or diet book is a one size fits all, but what I found most useful about The Four Star Diet is that it drilled home the importance of managing what is going on between my ears to help manage what is going between my lips. I liked it and found it to be quite practical. Thanks, Laura!

This is a well researched and well written book. I recommend this book to anyone who not only wants advice on dieting but on getting over any of life's many challenges.

My wife and I really enjoyed reading this book. A good mix of motivation, reward and inspiration. We recommend this to those that have tried the straight diet mantras without long lasting results.

I haven't read anything like this before. It is refreshing, smart and incredibly inspiring to get you in the mental spirit to get up and change your state of mind. Not only that but it's a fun read too, most books you find in the health section are a little boring and tell you what to do, this book is a round of fun.

I'm a mom of 4 and found myself so focused on taking care of my children instead of myself that I let my body go. This helped me get motivated to jump start my life again. This wasn't just a lifestyle change for myself but one for my whole family, we all eat differently now. Since I do all the main shopping it is up to me to make sure I feed my family and myself the best I can.
