I received these babies today and all four work perfectly well, they are all an ideal length at 6ft so that you are not restricted when charging, and all the wires feel very sturdy. The only initial concern I had was that the welded wires were exposed on all of the ends of the usb connections, however, once I pushed up the little rubber nubs to cover them and make sure the fit was snug, the problem was solved. Regardless, you cant beat the price, they fit my iphone 4s with a great "snap" fit, and they are all very sturdy to handle the more aggressive current of 2+ amp chargers. Highly Recommend!

The Sync Cables that I recently purchased from the "The Friendly Swede" were exactly what I've been looking for, for a long time. The first thing that caught my eye was the colors. I hadn't seen colorful cables such as these, because all I had ever seen was white cables. Then I read the description a bit further and noticed that they come in 6ft lengths and a thicker more durable wire. I was thoroughly convinced that this was what I wanted. I say that because there have been numerous times when I have had my iphone plugged in and wanted to use it as it was charging, but was unable to do so because of the short 3ft cable that you usually find. And the heavier wire makes it even better because I don't have to worry about the cable breaking! So if you want a sync cable that is colorful, long enough to do what you want, when you want and durable enough to last, then I suggest you check out the colorful sync cables from "The Friendly Swede"! I think you'll be glad that you did!

These are so much longer than the default iPhone cables and so far they appear to be quite durable. There isn't really much else to say about a cable. It carries data and power like you expect it to.
I'm not supposed to include seller reviews in here, but whatever. When I received this, the green cable appeared to be a little bit loose in terms of its internal wiring and as a result the phone would often lose connection while plugged in. The other three worked great. I sent an email, got a reply back the same day, and it was replaced no questions asked. Very impressive customer service.
Update: After using them for several months, I am still very impressed by this product. I haven't had any other cables fail, and I am admittedly pretty rough on them. Because they're so cheap and you get four in a pack, I'm not particularly worried about destroying a few and I treat them as such - so far they've taken the beating like champions. If you need a longer iPhone USB cable, you can't go wrong with this value.

This review is for these Friendly Swede data Sync cables for iPhone/iPads:
I've purchased a LOT of doodads from aftermarket sellers and these Friendly Swede cables are consistently reliable, they come in festive colors and more convenient lengths that the genuine Apple products. These cables work to charge or transfer data with my ipods of various gens, my iphone 3, 4, and 4s and will also charge my iPad 2. I don't know about the data sync on the iPad, I haven't tried it yet but it charges like a charm, fast and glitch-free.
For less than $4 each including shipping you can't go wrong here. If you have been tethered to your wall or computer by a three-foot cable, the doubled length will change your life. Well, maybe not that extreme, but trust me, you will wonder why you waited so long. The colors are nice as well, no more questioning which cable is yours when everyone is charging at the powerpoint.

The longer cable length is great and they seem like very high quality with a snug fit. The different colors are a nice touch.

First of all, kudo's to the distributor (Friendly Swede), items were shipped and received amazingly fast, and arrived in excellent condition.
TANSTAAFL - There ain't no such thing as a free lunch
These are inexpensive cables, and as you would expect, are not made to the high quality standards of OEM cables. That's life, you get what you pay for.
Having said that, there is nothing wrong with these cables, as long as you are willing to be a touch more careful with them, than you would have to be for the more expensive Apple ones. The plastic used on the exterior gets stiff from the cold in relatively mild temperatures, to a higher degree than I would like. I felt just a touch of separation occurring at the plug/cable junction the last time I plugged the Iphone end into my phone, so it is probably going to fail on me one of these days *shrug*.
These cables do work, they do transfer data, they will help you charge your device.
My advice to a buyer, would be if you are the sort of person who leaves cables/chargers in hotel rooms, lends them to friends, leaves them plugged in at work for anyone to use, has a kid that loses things, get these cables. For home, car use... pay the money, get OEM ones.

Three of the four cords work. Still a good deal though considering the price. The price is why it gets four stars considering one cord from Apple costs $30. If they all worked I would have given it five stars. I would buy it again so don't hesitate even if one fails to work.
UPDATE: WOW, GREAT customer service. Per my review above, I wasn't going to worry about the other cable but Jessie from the company contacted me after reading my review and is sending me a replacement pack. That is a level of customer service one rarely sees these days. I have changed my rating to five stars.

and I desperately wanted them to work 'cause I hate that little three-foot cord Apple includes with its products. I connected my iPhone 4 immediately upon opening the package, and eureka! It started charging and I could keep working since I now had a longer cord that allowed me to sit comfortably while I checked my email with the phone connected. Phone charged to 100% in a short time, and I was pleased. My sister plugged in her 3G iPhone later the same day and it charged as well. All was good. Then I plugged in my iPad. Nothing. Nada. There was no recognition at all. I had to give up and take it to the office to plug it in with the usual Apple cord -- which rather defeats the purpose of even having these new, longer cords. If they don't function properly, you can't really work while they're charging your device; and after the initial two successful iPhone charges, nothing else has charged. Tried all four cords, tried all the Apple products in the house (phones, iPads, iPods, an iPod shuffle -- none would connect). Oh, and I'm using the standard Apple wall plug. Gave in and ordered it (for $30) from Apple; but Apple doesn't have long cords, so I was really hoping these would work. Regrettably, they don't. Learned my cheap cord lesson.
UPDATE: As is clear above, the first set of cables didn't work for me and I was annoyed with myself for falling, yet again, for a cheap cable. Amazingly, the nice folks at The Friendly Swede read the review and offered to send me a new set at no cost from the upcoming batch of cables. Said several people had difficulty with the set I'd ordered and they were working hard to get things right. In short order, the new cables arrived in mid-November and worked perfectly; BUT that's not the end of the story. I received an email message from The Friendly Swede just last weekend, five months after the replacement cables arrived, saying they'd be sending me yet another complimentary set since they had a new batch "to apologize again for the inconvenience and thank [me] for [my] patience." So far, they're working like a charm, but that isn't the real point of the update. The real purpose is to simply acknowledge how unusual and how welcome it is to deal with a manufacturer that takes its customers' satisfaction so seriously. I'll absolutely do business again with The Friendly Swede. You won't find a more attentive seller anywhere.

I know what you're thinking: "The Swedes - such a wealthy, skilled, and elegant people. And a 'friendly Swede' to boot? Egads! Surely, they must make a spectacular USB cable."
Ladies and gentlemen, you have been misguided. Cables so plastic and stiff, you'd think they were made from recycled Barbie dolls. Connectors so carelessly designed, they grip your poor Apple device like an alligator death-rolling a gazelle. Fearing for the life of my iPhone, I returned these immediately to Amazon.
UPDATE (Oct 26, 2012)
While my judgement about the cable I received still holds, I should point out that customer service responded very rapidly and helpfully when I posted this review. While Amazon had already reimbursed me for the returned cables and so no further action was necessary, I got the impression that this company would have even sent me a replacement free of charge had I asked (friendly Swede indeed!). They do seem to care about quality control and judging by some of the other reviews, they *can* make good cables. All of that said, the cables I received were awful and I stand by the above comments on the cable I received.

This is an update to my original bad review of this product, which is included below. Somehow, I have been able to get at least three of the cables to work. When I lost one of my original Apple cables, I decided to try one of these again before buying an Apple replacement, and it worked. I then tried a couple more in my car and truck, and they too worked. Previously, I had tested my Classic iPod and iPhone 4 with a known good Apple cable, and all of these cables, and none of these would connect successfully. I have no explanation for this occurrance. I did just read a reply note from the manufacturer that indicated they had several complaints which they attributed to a bad batch of cables, and offered to replace them if desired. Kudos to them; I will be keeping mine.
Original review follows:
These cables simply do not work. I bought them as spares to keep in my car and truck so that I can play my iPod through my newly installed USB equiped radios. When I first tried them out, I thought there was a problem with the radios because they displayed "NO DEVICE" when I selected the USB source. When I discovered that the iPod was not being recognized by my computer either when attached using these cables, I knew something was amiss. I don't know how a company can manufacture a product as simple as this and get it so wrong, but these folks definitely have. Stay away!
