Editorial Reviews

Joe Elliott of Def Leppard and London's own Quireboys formed the Down 'n' Outz after being asked to open for Mott the Hoople at London's Hammersmith. Their love for the band inspired them into recording "My ReGeneration" (2010), an album full of Mott the Hoople related tracks. The album was well received including a nod from Rolling Stone:

"{My Regeneration}" is no mere tribute album. It is exuberant classic-rock scholarship - Rolling Stone

They had so much fun the first time, they've decided to do it again! Produced by Elliot and Def Leppard co-producer, Ronan McHugh, The Further Adventures of.... contains 12 tracks, all Mott the Hoople songs, continuing to prove their reverence for this great band.

Most people only know about the Down N Outz because of Joe Elliott and his other band you may have heard about, Def Leppard. This certainly isn't Def Leppard, it's the classic rock style music Joe Elliott listened to before he formed Def Leppard. It's not music I was familiar with before the Down N Outz but I am certainly happy Joe has had the opportunity to put his personal spin on the music he loves. If you like classic rock music, you will certainly be satisfied with this. It's just plain, simple, straight rock and roll and a pleasure to listen to from beginning to end.

I wasn't sold on the idea but knowing that Joe is a huge Ian and MTH fan as well I took a listen to the previews and found enough to give it a go. I am glad I did. I like the versions on this CD and have been listening quite a bit since the purchase. Very good job gentlemen.

The 'Leps' were all Mott the Hoople/Ian Hunter fans, and Joe clearly must've been at the forefront!
His band again raids the MTH back catalog and deliver a stunning musical tribute.
What comes over clearest is that they're ENJOYING re-doing these numbers, and having fun...while at the same time providing high quality/high energy rock that everyone can boogie along with! I am particularly impressed how they don't go over the top but stay close enough to the originals to make the experience truly fantastic! I really wasn't expecting to enjoy this as much as I do.
Freakin' Amen Joe & buds......Thanyou, this is GREAT!

Have the first Down N Outz and picked this one up as I like that Mott Hunter et al are getting more airplay. A worthy companion to the first Down N Outz album.

Joe Elliott second tribute to Ian Hunter and Mott the Hoople is as good as the first. In my view both capture the excitement and warmth of a band in their prime..there's something endearing about Ian Hunter, though not actually playing, his songwriting skills are on display to marvel and remain firmly in our hearts.

This album is a bit different than My Regineration but it is along the same line. The songs are well picked again from
Joe with quite a bit of variety. It may take a listen or two to get into it but once you do you'll get hooked and want
more.

Great album. Can't wait for the next one.
