How is this band not more well-known? All of their output is solid, and this is probably the best release yet. Songs are varied, ranging from wistful ("No Ship Coming In") to downright rocking (title track), making them fall somewhere between Wye Oak and Metric (also highly-recommended bands).

If you haven't already noticed from the song samples, each song in this great album sounds different. Although Anita Robinson's delightfully delicate voice is a constant, the band seems to put on a new style with each song. "Plastic Radio" is reminiscent of 90s band Garbage, but the next song, "Analog Woodland Song", sounds more like a Billy Corgan piece. Dig deeper and you'll even find some Ladytron influence on the title track. Despite the varying styles, the band's focused, tight songwriting maintains a dark, isolated mood. I have a feeling that this record is only the beginning of even more great work to come.

Why rock stations still play Boston all day is beyond me? Especially when there are bands like this! This album took me about 3 listens before I fell in love with about half the tunes (that's really good). It's moody but rocking. It can create landscapes in your mind. Kind of a mix between progressive rock and psychedelic rock. Very accessible though. Very catchy and mostly well wrote. Scratching my head why they are not more well known? You can not go wrong with this album in your collection.

Was turned onto this group and this album in particular by my Tape Op magazine (Mag' for those interested in Music Recording Process and Tools). I dig it!

I heard a snippet of "The Wondering Soul" on a late night radio show, and tracked down the album based on that - it was worth tracking down! Listen to the samples; they are a good guide to what you get on this album.
