Book Description

Classic crime noir fiction at its best...

The Garbage Collector, a Detroit-area private eye/bounty hunter/hired gun is employed by a downtown law firm to retrieve "Lawyer #4" - a partner in the firm who has disappeared with confidential information she is using to blackmail the company's clients.

The Garbage Collector picks up the trail in Florida, and soon finds that Lawyer #4 is much more than he bargained for.

The Garbage Collector (No. 1) is an approximately 4,000 word, 25-page story packed with hard-hitting action, killer dialogue and a main character you won't soon forget.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Stars for this character August 14, 2012

Say hello to The Garbage Collector, a Jack-Of-All-Trades, and a master of taking out the Bad Guys. I read this in one sitting, then downloaded Bullet River, the continuation of The Garbage Collector's to-do list.

This author has great characters and situtions, and you'll be going back for more.

4.0 out of 5 stars I like this guy! September 17, 2012

The Garbage Collector, the ex cop, turned hunter of people that don't want to be found. In this short story, The Garbage Collector is hired by a law firm to find and bring back an Attorney that has made off with important info. What he finds is more than he bargained for. Dani Amore always delivers interesting Characters and crazy good, crazy fast plots. I hope to see more of the Garbage Collector in a novel. I've already downloaded Bullet River Garbage Collector #2. I highly recommend Dani's short stories, you'll be glad you did.

1.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't believe I paid for this March 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's literally 18 pages and doesn't allow the story to unfold, kind of predictable, but when you have such limited length it's hard to truly build suspense. Would be a great teaser for an actual story, but it should not be for sale. Huge disappointment from a usual great author

I paid $.99 for this short story and that is about what it is worth. Not up to the standards of her other work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book! March 13, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'm a big Dani Amore fan, and have read many of her books. This one is a thriller and delightful to zoom into. You get totally hooked on the characters, who they are, what's their backstory, and you figure out whom you're really interested in as the book moves along. Just when I thought I had this story figured out, BOOM, it went a totally different way, gotta love that!
As with several of her most recent works, this is a breezy, energetic, and captivating read.
