More About the Author

Daniel Leston was born in Canada, yet spent the majority of his adult years living and traveling throughout the US. Though his working career was spent in the unrelated field of designing and manufacturing complex, industrial machinery, he never lost touch with his lifelong passion for both writing and the study of history, which extends all the way back to his early, student days at the University of Buffalo.

Along with his wife of 40+yrs, he currently resides in southern Ontario, where he now happily works at his chosen vocation of being a full-time author. Following up on the early success of his three 'Action/Thriller' novels, The Amun Chamber, The Genghis Tomb, & The Emperor's Treasure, he just finished working on his 4th exciting adventure around their popular main character, Professor David Manning. Look for the Porus Legacy, available now.

Not at all what I expected. Interesting twists and turns. Since I am a fan of archeology novels, this was definitely my type of novel. A few sections were a bit slow, and in places it was easy to guess what was going to happen. I will definitely be checking into other novels by Leston.

This is a terrible plot. There is no rhyme or reason for what the villain or villains did. Just a bunch of running around and flying around with no good connections to the plot.

Really average, been there done that. This is yet another example f copy cat writing. Do none of the current crop of authors have any original ideas

I read the first book written by Leston and really was fascinated by the historical topic. While I'm not a romance genre fan, I nevertheless found it was a necessary part of the story and I found it did enhance the story line and was not overly emphasized. I was handled in this book as well in the same manner -- an integral part of the story, however not exclusively to the end. This added to the pace and excitement of the story.

I really enjoyed learning more about this historical icon and I look forward to the author's next topic, umm, I mean book!

Yet another outstanding book by Daniel Leston. We again have our professor and lovely wife teaming up with a whole new cast of characters and villains to solve another mystery of finding the tomb of Genghis Khan. A quick moving and thrilling adventure guaranteed to keep you turning the pages. My only complaint of this book was that it was too short

Quite a on the edge of the seat read. A little far fetched in the realistic view, but still a great story. Interesting for the living history whether accurate or not, it gets your attention.

It was a bit slow to begin with but preserver about two thirds of the say it gets interesting and it begins to be a page turner. Intersting facts about a fascinating character of history and a potted history of ancient China.
