It's OK, September 25, 2009
My review includes spoilers. So please don't read it if you plan to rent or buy the movie.
The part where Arron goes into the room and the door slams shut was a bit unrealistic because a woman holding a camcorder was standing right by the door when it happened and could have kicked it shut with her legs which were out of camera view. Then when they carry him out his face is conveniently covered until the next scene where it's covered in blood. That was my biggest clue of the exaggeration of this documentary.
Another part is, as soon as the camera looks away, conveniently the psychic lady's arm starts bleeding, but of course it doesn't happen when the camera is looking at her. And she lets out a scream.
The final part that I didn't like was how the psychic wandered off, it was a good addition, however, why would they leave a woman who just apparently went through what she went through to wander off on her own.
The final scene with the ghostly figure was pretty cool, startled me for a quick second as the second lady screamed.
So my review is that, while I feel they did a decent job with the documentary, I kind of get the feeling that they added their own little additions to make it more scary than it really was. I feel that a few of the scenes were staged because they probably came up with little to nothing to work with on the documentary.
HOWEVER, would I spend a night alone in that creepy place, HAHA not for a second! If I am wrong and what happened was all 100% real, then that's creepy but if they staged the scary scenes to make it more exciting and scary, SHAME ON THEM for calling this a documentary!

Eye rollingly bad, October 10, 2008
First, the video and audeo quality was really poor. I could have done better with my cell phone. Second, most of the show was the lead "hunter" shouting out "is there anyone there, make a sound." That was about the sum total of the action. There were two major events, both at the very end of the film. The rest was talk. I enjoy Ghost Hunters and their ilk, they are cheesy fun. This didn't reach that level.

Better than your average SciFi Channel "ghost hunt" video, but still trite and lacking..., September 15, 2008
The title sums up how this video rates. It is one of those pseudo-documentaries that have become, if not popular, then at least frequently aired on the SciFi Channel here in the United States. It doesn't take much, as is typical of this genre, to see through the various "sleight-of-hand" techniques used to create the appearances of the "ghost(s)". SPOILERS FOLLOW - DO NOT READ ON IF YOU PLAN TO BUY OR RENT.
For example, in one scene the lead actor walks into a darkened room and the door slams shut behind. He screams then, moments later, is retrieved by the film crew. As they are pulling him out, he hides his face and the nightvision makes it impossible to see anything that might have happened. Next scene, in the light, his face is covered with marks and cuts. Obviously what they did was shoot the scene, then cut, then apply the phony makeup, then restart the cameras.
The video also includes the obligatory sceance with the ever-present (and quite tiresome) shaking table and the equally common "frightened medium" in contact with the spirits... in all, pretty much the same techniques used in the SciFi series and in other "ghost hunts." The sole saving grace is the lead actor who does a passable job with the requisite "surprise" fear and reactions. All in all, if you are a fan of ghost hunt videos/television programs, and you tend to believe them, you may enjoy this. If you are a horror fan or looking for realism in a documentary, skip it.
