Laurie Foos is the author of five novels: Ex Utero, Portrait of the Walrus by a Young Artist, Twinship, Bingo Under the Crucifix, and Before Elvis There Was Nothing, Her sixth novel, The Blue Girl, is forthcoming from Coffee House Press.
Laurie Foos is the author of EX UTERO, PORTRAIT OF THE WALRUS BY A YOUNG ARTIST, TWINSHIP, BINGO UNDER THE CRUCIFIX, BEFORE ELVIS THERE WAS NOTHING, and THE GIANT BABY. Excerpts of her novel, THE BLUE GIRL, forthcoming from Coffee House Press, have appeared in WRECKAGE OF REASON: XXPERIMENTAL WOMEN WRITING IN THE 21ST CENTURY and in the literary magazine, THE RAKE. Her story, "Moon Pies," another excerpt from THE BLUE GIRL, was named 2nd prize for the 2008 Italo Calvino Fiction Award. She teaches in the low residency MFA program at Lesley University and in the BFA program at Goddard College and lives on Long Island with her husband and two children.
