About the Author

Bridgette Nicole Skeete-Mackey is a 36 year old Bahamian who is passionate about enriching the lives of children and their families. Bridgette is the last child of eight, born to Gladstone (deceased) and Dourilease Skeete. She was born on September 7th, 1975 on the beautiful island of Nassau. Her early life was shaped through important values she learned from her parents. Her early education began at the William Phipps primary school, and continued at Queen's College High School, both in Nassau. Bridgette continued her tertiary education at Florida International University in Miami Florida, where she graduated in June of 2000 as valedictorian of her class, earning her a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems. She returned to the Bahamas in August of the same year and began employment in the financial services sector, while pursuing a Master's Degree at Nova Southeastern University. In June of 2003 she completed her studies with a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA). She pursued a career in Information Technology until 2011 when she made the decision to completely devote herself in the work of enriching the lives of others. Bridgette maintains that despite her academic success, her most noteworthy achievement is working to help others pursue and fulfill their full potential. Some of her early work includes assisting a client with developing a children's educational program and mentoring/encouraging young women to take control of their lives. She takes pride in helping others, and believes that is the real success in helping to build any entity. Her professional aspirations include expanding her current consulting business which helps individuals build and develop their own businesses in an effort to achieve economic empowerment; writing a series of books geared toward human growth and development. Bridgette is married to Andre Mackey, her best friend of 14 years with 8 of those years being spent in marriage. She is the proud mother of an amazing baby girl, Zhane' Brianne Olivia Mackey. She and her family currently reside on the eastern end of Nassau. Bridgette looks forward to expanding her family in the near future. Her wish for every human being on planet earth is to reach their God-given potential.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book on How to Use Who You are to Help Others! September 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The author has written a wonderful and detailed plan on how to best conceptualize, create, and grow a business that is charged with helping one of the most cherished resources that we have - our youth! Her book outlines, with great detail and thought, how one might approach creating and running an organization that focuses on youth development.

Her most significant contribution, though, is the challenge that she presents to the reader. We all have been called to a purpose; what is your individual calling? How is your calling going to make a difference in the world? What can we do as "regular people" to impact and direct our future through the nurturing and development of our youth? The author leaves us with a commission and challenge that deserves a commited answer: "to create your legacy and change our world!"

I applaud the author for her insights and the gift of this work.

This is a great jumpstart guide for people wanting to learn how to build an out-reach group for kids. Many principles could be applied to other kinds of groups but the author keeps the focus on the children. Easy guide to get the ball rolling on what you were called to do!

This inspiring e-book is a compelling read.

Bridgette's aim is to tap into "you". She wants to help us to share the most valuable part of us with the world.
This e-book is like a guide to providing you with what you need to create your own time capsule so to speak. She believes the keys to success are having a passion to pass onto the next generation, therefore improving our world through positively influencing it by establishing a legacy for our kids.

Read this book if you feel you want to take your message and put it out there for future generations, or just take a deep look as to why you were born and discover how to make your mark on the world.

Bridgette gets us to identify what we are passionate about and helps us to take it to the next level as the gifts we are born with were never meant to be kept to yourself. Bridgette writes with passion and inspiration. She takes you through the steps you need to take in bite-size pieces and thoroughly covers each aspect well.

After you put this book down, you may very well feel there's no limit to what you can do/achieve. You will want to go out there and enrich someone's life.

The beauty of this dream is that you don't need lots of money, or a particular social standing, or an advanced level of education, it's just about developing you and the gifts you already have inside that can help others in the world.

So, if you want to make a difference in the world, ask yourself, "what's my gift to the world?
Buy this e-book, get inspired and go out there and do it!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Changing the world for children starts with you October 13, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The Gift of You hums with a persuasive enthusiasm that could convince the most serious self-doubter that they could run a program for children that was worthwhile. How-to-do-it guidelines and information pour on to each page to cover most things you would need to know to get up and running. The book would benefit from slicing the valuable information into more digestible servings with sub headers, shorter paragraphs and an appendix with a how-to-do-it check list.

If you're tired of the traditional western education system, especially since the economic collapse of fiat currency and central banking picked up steam, then get on board with the new one.

Why should educators deal with the broken bureaucracy, the layoffs, the dismal budgets, and shameful legislation from DC? They can just as easily be like this amazing and incredibly talented young author and go straight to the children through a means they understand.

Here are my favorite things about The Best of You

* The writing is top notch, polished, and composed by a calm and soothing hand.
* The information is easy to follow, and the ebook is formatted in a user friendly manner for reference.
* It is thorough enough to allow a reader to begin drafting up and experimenting with lesson/session plans immediately.
* The marketing aspects are spot on and practical.

We all have something special about us, something to teach. We in America especially simply cannot trust our children's minds with the system anymore. We need to turn to educators like this author who, through modern means like this ebook, can teach us how to become teachers ourselves.
