This show is incredible, it has everything you could want! Great acting, hot guys, hot girls, all of them being badass, comedy, drama, and romance! Season 3 is the best because they added Peter Mooney who is just a dream come true.

I have been watching the series since it first started. In fact, I watch several different shows season by season, and just got around to this part of the 3rd season.

[Warning: Spoilers]

Having read the other two (1 Star) reviews, I must say I entirely disagree. First off, the idea that two officers could be assaulted like that, it as not as farfetched as you may think. The officer was following up on the case of Gail being missing, and let his guard down as he initially was just trying to get information to help them towards another direction. Naturally the suspect, now realizing he was in way over his head, assaulted Jerry in an effort to try to escape.

Now to the point of this episode being sad, yes there is no doubt about it. This episode really pulled at the heartstrings. But let's keep in mind this is a Drama, it is supposed to make you feel, and although there are many other ways Jerry could've left the show (being fired, promoted, quitting, etc) this actually added to the realism of the show, because the bottom line is in real law enforcement, tragedies happen. But that fact that this episode made you feel so emotionally attached to the character(s) that you felt the pain and loss as much as if you had lost someone yourself, that is the definition of a successful show coupled with great writing, and great acting.

I think this episode clearly deserves 5 stars.

I got hooked on this show during season 2. After watching some of season 2 on television, I just had to buy the first season and the second to catch the ones I missed! I absolutely LOVED season 1. I am a huge fan of this show. I downloaded them and watched them on two trips I made across the US in an airplane. I couldn't stop watching. Great show - great product!

This is a great series once again.
The development of the characters has been excellent through the 3 series. The story lines are believable and the continuing growth of the team is again making this excellent viewing.

Please tell me there are plans for another series.....I couldn't bear to not see where the final scene of the last episode will pick up (won't say more in case it spoils it for you!)

A fantastic good value dvd!

I like the show though I find it a bit annoying with all the 'sleep arounds' these police officers do on the show. Really, when I was in the work force we did not have co-workers sleeping with each other all the time, skipping from one to another. It's just annoying! Also, heads up -- I was reading ahead in IMDB and found out that in season 5 they are going to take the Gail Peck character and put her into a full blown lesbian relationship. Really -- this woman who's had all this interest in men suddenly is going to be interested in a woman? Reeks of PC, PC, PC all over the place! So tired of that. Why can't they just have a good cop show? Don't get me wrong -- a little romance and 'home life' in the story is good -- but this is overboard. So, after season 4 I'll probably be calling it quits. Not my cup of tea.

Over the years I have watched all the cop shows, all of the Law and Order franchises, CSI, Etc. I started watching Rookie Blue due to Ben Bass (Sam Swarek), I was a huge fan of his when he was on Forever Knight playing a roque vampire Javier Vachon in 1996 and I haven't seen him in anything since, I was thrilled to see him back on television better than ever. Rookie Blue is a very well written show with all different kind of characters to get attached to. I enjoy this show Immensely.
