A Truly Beautiful Homage to Edna St. Vincent Millay's Poem,

The first time I heard this song was from a mix cd that a friend of mine made for me. I thought the lyrics were absolutely beautiful so after "googling" them I found that about half of this song is a poem, "Afternoon On A Hill" by Edna St. Vincent Millay.
Deb Talan plays this simple song with such simple, beautiful words integrating her own lyrics into this exquisite poem. A true gem of a song. The type you can listen to on repeat over and over again while singing away to yourself. |
