5.0 out of 5 stars Quick read that will entertain you! April 16, 2014
By Summer
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The forbidden love between the female slave and the Gladiator in this historical story was very entertaining.
Through the eyes of the author, I could see, feel and almost smell the dust and blood in the arena.
If you like a romance set in ancient Rome, then this is a must-read!

2.0 out of 5 stars Just Ok February 11, 2014

Agree with previous posters - this was a pleasant and quick read. Liked the subject matter, but the story was a bit underdeveloped, and at times the writing was a bit confusing.

More About the Author

Hi everyone. I live in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. I have loved books since I learned to read and only recently began to write fiction. Before that I wrote as a journalist for many years. This is quite different from that. It's also way more fun.

I have also history since childhood, and if I had it to do over again, I'd be an historian or archaeologist. For right now though, I'll write about the past and hope to be able to entertain you.
