Buy this album,
By Chris Holm (Charlottesville, Virginia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Glass Intact (Audio CD)
I should start by saying that initially I had no intention of writing an online review of this album, but I must say that I feel that the reviews I read of this album hardly do it justice. "The Glass Intact" is musically tight, combining excellent punk-rock songwriting with an incredible pop-but-not-too-pop sensibility. At times the album is beautiful, and at times it makes you want to turn it up to 11 and jump around like an idiot. The lyrics exhibit confidence and vulnerability, wit and insight. This is, without a doubt, one of the best albums I own, and I would recommend it to anyone.

amazing album,

words cannot describe the excellence of this album. I bought The Glass Intact shortly after it was released in 99 after following a link on a veruca salt page. Since then, I have bought 12 copies of this album because they keep getting scratched or stolen and it is worth every cent. Multi-layered rock driven guitar, heavy bass, and phenomenal drums, topped off with Elizabeth Elmore's amazing vocals. The lyrics are straight from the heart and every second of the album is full of emotion. From begining to end, there is not a single song that is out of place. This is the best cd I have ever bought or listened to.I also strongly recommend Elizabeth Elmore's new band, The Reputation. They have a cd out now that is just as amazing as The Glass Intact.

Sarge reigns in the royalty of Girl Rock,
By SarahGoode@aol.com (Houston, TX) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Glass Intact (Audio CD)
I've loved this CD ever since we got it at my college radio station... Sarge definitely knows how to rock! At the same time, the band shows good range so each song doesn't sound the same. I especially love the lyrics, which express a spectrum of raw emotion and real-life issues, from a girl's revenge for getting gang-raped to thoughts on "how far is too far?". The vocals are never overpowered by the music (which says a lot because the music is definitely kickass).
