Marc de Swaan Arons
Marc is an acknowledged thought-leader in the burgeoning arena of global marketing leadership. He is co-founder and Chairman of EffectiveBrands
, the global marketing consultants. Marc has worked directly with some of the worlds most prominent Chief Marketing Officers and global brand leaders, and is a frequent keynote speaker at business schools, companies, and industry conferences. His work has appeared in general press and industry journals including Forbes, Sprout, Advertising Age, Chief! Marketer, Marketing Week, and BrandWeek.
Marc co-founded EffectiveBrands in 2001 following a successful career with Unilever. He has been listed among the top-10 marketers for the last three years in TvM, and in 2008 he was awarded the Asian Global Marketing Award. At EffectiveBrands, Marc spearheads the Leading Global Brands study, an ongoing learning project with contributions from over 250 global brands and 2,500 global brand leaders.
Educated in the U.K. and the Netherlands, Marc holds a Business Economics degree from the Erasmus University, and serves as a volunteer on the Advisory Board of GoodWeave, which works toward ending child slavery in the carpet industry. He lives with his family in New York City.
Frank van den Driest As co-founder of EffectiveBrands, Frank is well known for his work in developing leading global brand strategy and deployment programs. Having worked in executive management roles for BBDO, GfK, and the Positioning- Group, Frank gained a wealth of experience in defining the most successful paths from insight to growth, and has an enviable track record of delivering results. Being a true entrepreneur, Frank also co-founded a Zimbabwean Art trading company, that also established a chain of high-end galleries.
Frank has lectured at various MBA programs and led many in-company global brand excellence programs. Frank has been a highly successful sparring partner and coach to many CMOs and global brand leaders, all in pursuit of building the elusive archetype of the global marketing machine. He is a non-executive board member of Brandnew.design, an international design agency and sounding board member to multiple start-ups.
Frank holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Amsterdam, and also studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He lives with his family near Amsterdam.
